Those "bubbles" on my trucks will turn into giant holes if I pick at them,so I plan on having to rivet or weld a large patch on anywhere I see those blisters..my Suburban is growing them around the rear wheel arches ,I know the whole quarter panel will be junk if I touch it..
I always drill holes in the rockers on my trucks on the back side at the bottom so water can get out--they usually fill up full with dead leaves, road dirt, etc, every time I flush them out I get a pound of crud out,but some always gets left behind..
I was working on my truck a few days ago,saw a new rot hole the size of a dime in the RH rocker--I poked it out and put my air gun in the front side of it and blew out a bunch of maple tree "helicoptor" seeds and dirt, then a 3/8" body bolt with a washer came out of the hole!--it appears they dropped it at the factory ,its the bolt the rocker has at the front fender--there's a factory bolt still there,so it had to be one they dropped at the assembly line!..
I'm wishing I had a MIG welder with argon/CO2--the flux core HF welder is just a hole-blower ,worse than my stick welder is when I tried using it on body sheet metal..I cant always braze everything with torches in some spots--lately I've just gotten lazy and use self drilling screws or pop rivets instead of trying to weld rusted metal..
