anyone ever enter four wheelers top truck challenge

Yah I don't need a snorkel for around here so no reason to put one on. I already have plans for one as I want to put one on before I make the Alaska trip. Started collecting parts for it as we speak

I actually kind of like the fact it looks unfinished, call me weird but it amuses me when folks ask me when I am going to finish it. We all know they are never done. This is one of the reasons I decided against an exo cage, that makes it look done. Other than the fact that where I wheel I would dent it alot even with an exo so why ugly it up.

I do realize there would be lots of little stuff to do before I went if I get in but I love to tinker. I can turn a hour job of running breather lines into a day project with nice little brackets and everything

I really appreciate all the support guys, trust me if I get the call it will be posted here post haste

Blazin, are you sayin you would drive you blazer down from ID to central Ca, then wheel it for 3 days at hollister and then drive the same truck back to Id? if so its not a good idea man. Your going to brake something and most likley a critical piece. You should borrow or rent a truck/trailer.

What did I say that made you think that, years ago I used to make fun of the trailer queens but it is super nice to have a trailer, no hopefully I will have my crew cab done by then and I will tow it with that, might be with a borrowed trailer but no I plan to tow it

Now on the flip side if had some smaller tires to throw on it, I would not hesitate to drive my truck a thousand miles on the highway. No big deal it actually rides pretty decent, it will cruise at 65 no problem even with the 44s on it

Shoot last weekend I drove it nearly 80 road miles to go wheeling

Just curious as how you placed in the ITTC and there was atleast 3 former TTC competitors in it?
I will vote for you for sure, same as I would Corey or Cheston:D

I finished 15 I think? Alot of poeple thought I finished higher than that, I guess I just look fast :D

I can tell you one thing though that comp taught me a couple things, first I needed some type of air bumps, since I am poor that would be Timbrens, they should be here this week. For some odd reason I broke a u joint at the very beginning of the obstacle course, I think when they red flagged me(they forgot to start the stopwatch) I got on the brakes very hard when the front end may have been a little light and snapped the u joint, which made it very hard to turn. That really killed my points.

But it was a blast and it supported another club in our state Association so I will continue to compete at that event

I have thrown my name in the hat as well with my '78 Big 10! There are a few of us Texas Boys going to try and get in. I started up a FB group to keep everyone up to date while I was at it.

ill vote for ya, and dragoon too

but, from what ive seen in the past years, neither of your guys trucks have enough monster truck parts on them, to get voted.

Hope you make it though, good luck.

Ha thats why we pimp for votes not enough 12 yr olds like our trucks LOL

BTW it seems they are splitting it into two classes this year, trucks and buggies, don't know any of the details but it seems like a pretty set in stone kind of thing.

I will probably have my bedsides hung by then too. Was always planning on putting them back on but instead of swiveling like they used too they will just remove now. Nice to have bedsides for driving to the trail

Kind of bums me out I was looking forward to showing some buggies what a (ok not full bodied) ummmm truck cab truck :D can do

yea, evolution, is a PIA for those of us without bottomless bank accounts. thats cool they are splittin it up though,

I just moved back to oregon from idaho, i was in twin falls, didnt get to do any real wheeling out there, but damn, there was some good lookin terrain. :(

Thanks, I may not have the prettiest truck out there, but with the new (to me) big block, insanely low gearing and the bobby long cv's in the 60, this thing is about as bullet proof as it gets. The tire sponsor is Michey Thompson again from what I gather, if I can get it I plan on getting a set of the 46's and 'groovin' them with my chainsaw like I did my boggers. That should make if on the dvd. :D

Being in the magazine is enough for me :D

Will the trucks be going first before they make the courses harder for the buggies or something?

I know my truck couldn't make it across the first valley in the mini rubicon last year

I don't think it was possible with anything less than a 90* approach angle which is why a decent number of competitors got stuck

I threw mine into it also. I plan on linking up at least the rear if I get to go.
