Like that:laugh: Thats what needs to happen for a flat 241. $$$$

It is an ingenious way to solve a problem, the angle looks bad though & the part of the shaft that droops looks short(might be the pic I can't tell), how has it held up for you? Are you running 52's up front?

It has a crazy angle but the carrier bearing supports tha shaft. I have been running this set-up for 2 years now. I still have lots of flex with my limmiting straps. My springs are just skyjacker 4inch. This winter, the blaze will no longer be around.....Buggy time.

How do you keep that shaft from flopping around at the middle joint?
There is a carrier bearing on top of the crossmenber.

Sorry for the hijacked answers.

gasket

a little harder to do,but i made a gasket out of gasket paper and it has held up for 7 years now and not a drop has come out.i didnt even think of going to the dealer at the time i did it.lol.

Take a look at the picture that boz42 posted up. He droped his exhaust at the rear axle. You would be better off doing that way.

what makes you say that?

Also, in PA the exhaust has to exit outside the vehicle. Not underneath.

i love the single 3 inch exhaust on my truck. i got headman long tube headers, into a y pipe, and then a cat off of a 93 2500 suburuban, then a flowmaster 40 seriers, and exit behind the rear wheel.

it sound awsome at idle

Thx for the replies so far guys.

What do I do about the Y pipe? Do I buy one separately or get it done right there at the shop? Should the Y pipe be 3" coming right off the headers the whole way down?
I've got stock manifolds with 2-1/2 inch pipes going into a flowmaster brand Y pipe. 3 inch out to hi-flow cat and magnaflow muffler exits behind tire. It works much better than stock. I'm not going to mess with headers this time around... GEARS INSTEAD!

im pretty sure its not legal to have the tailpipe end under the vehicle in pa.it has to be ran at least to the outer edge of the body to pass the visual inspection.
