Anyone running a police style spotlight?

What are you guys ripping off cop cars? The spot lights or the roof light bars? I'm still not sure which direction I want to go on the light bar either.

I have a friend who used to work for the CHP working on and installing/removing the "specialty" items when a car was either wrecked or sold because of high mileage and replaced with new vehicles. I had inquired with him once about wanting a pair of spotlights and he came through for me so that's how I got them.

I'm running two of the Unity S6 lights. The truck used to be an Oregon BLM fleet truck. The problem is that the lights are both stripped out on the rotating shaft and can't be turned or raised from inside anymore. I'm wondering if they would have to be replaced or if rebuild parts are available. I guess they used those lights a lot when it was a govt truck.

yea, you can rebuild them.....go to the link i posted before and look under parts. that's the same problem i have with my old one and they sell all the pieces. look for the pinion gear and pinion head casting.

My crew cab has one mounted on it, i believe it was a VA state truck before i got it also had holes in the roof from a light bar, which had been removed. I wish there was some to upgrade these to make them brighter.

Ha, yeah that's a stretch to get to the passenger side one... I guess those Forest Service guys traveled in pairs.
