have 1 . just the truck is not finished yet .
@Larry has one in his 8.1L swapped short bed and likes it .
Oh, hell yes, I love it! I miss the rear Detroit Locker like a pack for flaming hemorrhoids. My rear ARB, ARB Twin compressor and Viair tank worked flawlessly on our annual Desert Trip this past summer where I used it pretty much every day. Used it on a local mountain trip not long ago so it doesn’t have a lot of time under its belt yet but so far so good. I don't have a front locker yet.
Like others have said, the biggie with the ARB reliability is the install and care in line routing and fastening/protection. One must be careful pressing on the side bearing onto the carrier as well as being as ginger as you can while gently placing the carrier in the axle. I suspect that copper tube soldered to the actuator can’t be whacked more than once.
I also ditto what others have said about how poor ARB’s customer service is. Yes, it is bad and possibly one of the most sucktastic suppliers I have dealt with in a long time. I don’t believe all their issues are related to parts coming from the dark side of the moon. They just seem like a bunch of tools up there. I even stopped by to visit them in Auburn, WA last spring when I was up there on business and confirmed the place is a complete toolbox. I did have issues with the rear locker kit missing an O-ring then my compressor would not build pressure. Got the total jerk around on both of those items and lost weeks of progress. They acted like I was trying to get over on them for a $3 o-ring that took 3 weeks to get. Then they had the compressor for weeks while they took it apart to figure out why it wouldn’t build pressure. I feel they should have just sent me a new one right away given the cost of their goods. Lastly, I ordered an extra harness for the compressor so it could be extended from the camper to the switches in the cab. Their wiring is an oddball size that would be hard to match so I just ordered another harness to just use weather packs to marry them together. It was cheap, like $40 for an extra harness but it took another 3 weeks to get. I remember all in all, I lost 7 weeks of progress due to ARB piss poor service. Good thing it is my truck. Not sure how off-road shops can deal with that BS on customer pay jobs. Now that I think about it, it pisses me off all over again. Might just consider a E-Locker for my front D60.
If you buy from ORD, they provide a really nice HD line kit that is the cats meow.
The front locker switch is a place holder for now. That locker will be coming in April albeit E-locker or another ARB
ARB Twin. It works great now.....after ARB fiddled with it for weeks
Viair tank mounted under the camper and above the RR wheel tube
The Twin compressor builds pressure fast and high
