Where is the wires that control the reverse lights? Are they conected to the nutral saffty switch. What colors should they be?

On top of the 465, drivers side near where it bolts to the bell housing is where the switch is.

I know that but where are the wire from the wire harness located?

It is plugged into a switch on top of the steering column just behind the firewall... park/neutral and backup lights both plug into it.
Go to the junk yard and get the cable that goes from this to the tranny (GM just extends them... plug in) along with the clutch / start safety switch (assuming you want to).
