Autozone Warranty

Factoring power into it makes it far mor complicated. Remove "P" from the whole deal and you've got E=I/R

AHH, so now you have resorted to twisting what I said /forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif, I did not make any remarks over the correctness of your information you have postd on this topic. I simply stated that your have a very poor attitude, be lucky you don't work for me, you would unemployed in a matter of days /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif.

I am not making any replies as to the original topic, it is too much trouble to try to explain. If you work for a "real" parts store then why have I not seen one in the state, 3500+ locations/all 50 states including Mexico, we must be doing something right, if not I would be working for free. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I never twisted anything you said you're just convinced that I'm out to get you.

The employee owned company I work for has thousands of stores across America and Canada as well so that is a non-issue.

Curious as to why I'd be unemployed in a matter of days if I worked for you. Once again, do you find it absolutely impossible to believe that I know what I'm doing because you don't like my attitude?

Autozone is doing something right. They have complete control over the retail market.

However if you read Counterman magazine you'd know what company has almost complete control over the commercial market.

I suggest you do a slight amount of reading about the company I work for before you continue to make comments which make no sense.

Autozone completely controls DIY type auto parts in America but because they don't deal with the quanity of commercial customers that other stores deal with, they're definitely lacking in knowledgeable people.

That's not saying that there aren't good people everywhere, but AZ is lacking big time compared to their competition that deals with more commercial sales (Carquest, Napa) if you ask me.

Probably can't beat their prices though.

I never said you did not know your [darn], I just stated that your attitude lacks severely. If you talk to people in real life like you do on here than that is why I would fire your smack talking ass. You suck, you have a piss poor attitude, you talk down to people, and you think you know everything. You can be a master technician that knows every nut and bolt on a car, but if you don't have customer service you are a waste. Knowing your [darn] is just half the job. /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

See, you have basically stated that AZ has no kowledgable sales people company wide, so what you are saying it that the company you work for has a whole company full of perfect salesman that know everything.

FYI, I have about 95% of the commmercial market in the town where my store is. To answer the next question, yes I have competition, I have 3 dealers, an O'reilly's and a NAPA to compete with, so don't give me the AZ can only do DIY bullshit.

Actually, everyone else is usually 10-15% more than my prices with less warranty.

No, I don't think you are out to get me, I could care less, I DO think you are an asshat and a wanker with an attitude problem, I know your type talk big [darn] on the net, but kiss my ass in person /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif

With that said, continue pissing people off as usual and have a nice day /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

Tell me, how did an Autozone warranty thread, turn out to be about people arguing about Autozone employees and which ones are "stupider" than others?

1. I was saying that it is hard to compete with Autozone on pricing.

2. Once again the Autozone mentality shows through, selling a warranty instead of the quality of the part that you're offering. A warranty is not a tangible item or a selling point for a particular part, simply a fringe benefit. Stop selling a warranty and start selling the quality of the parts you've got available (which are surprisinly good on all but a few parts) and you'll be far more sucessful.

3. Autozone as a company is 85% retail, 15% commercial. Hard to argue those facts which are just that....fact.

I would never be stupid enough to make generalization like that. In fact, I even mentioned that they have some good people. They're just lacking compared to others at many of their locations. There you go doing exactly what you accouse me of doing, twisting what I said for the benefit of your arguement.

I have a poor attitude, yet I'm not the one that has resorted to name calling. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

That said, if you didn't care, you wouldn't spend 10 minutes typing that stuff out, so you haven't convinced me there.

I don't understand why you can't just agree to disagree with me. So, we don't see eye to eye. It doesn't always have to be a personal clash between us as individuals. It's not so bad to have a differing opinion (which I often do).

I simply don't understand where you guys got that when I said I was turning over a new leaf that I wouldn't ever disagree with someone. That would not only be inhuman, but totally unlike my character to do such a thing. I havne't personally attacked anyone, simply stated fact that disagrees here. Everyone turns that into something personal, and it's not.

It's all about seeing the big picture of things. I'm not always right and neither is any other human being on this planet. That doesn't mean every time I type my opinion into this little white box that I'm trying to create a personal confrontation with someone. If any of you truely believe that, you're flattering yourself.

As with everyone on this board when they post a question or give an opinion, we're all trying to get the answer to our questions.

If it's auto parts and you have a question and I can help you, I'll be more than happy to. Some guy asked for a seal part number yesterday, so I brought an old wheel bearing catalog home with me today. Hopefully if someone here is looking for a seal in the future I can hook them up with part numbers.

All of us here have different areas of expertise and that's what we all have to offer to the board. I couldn't tell ya squat about web design or fabrication of steel pieces or anything like that, but if anyone has a question about an auto part, PM me, I'll find the part number and let you know.

I have little to no social skills either, so unfortunately I fail at communication on a regular basis. Oh well...can't have everything.

Talk about a great "Customer Service" attitude and someone that is very knowledgeable of the product he sells, i've purchased parts in multiple states at multiple parts stores (Commercial and retail) and would have to rate Krennen right at the top. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
I will admit however, he does look a little funny. /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

And as far as autozone is concerned i have had nothing but good luck with their name brand parts at the best prices anywhere. Remember you can find a poor attitude or a clueless salesman no matter what store you walk into.
Keep up the great work Krennen! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

...and people wonder why I don't normally shop at AZ. You shoud be the company's customer service rep. You have the same mentality as most of the counter jockeys that AZ hires. Back when I was in high school and had the same job you hold now, the boss would fire employes w/ that attitude on the spot.

[/ QUOTE ]

Funny you should say this because the reason little Timmay doesn't work for AZ anymore is because he was fired.

lets see if i can put this thread back on track. /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif
i have lifetime warrenties on alot of parts including
my half shafts for my s15. i have the torsion bars tweaked
to the maxx for offroad clearence. i am replacing my shafts about every 8-10 months. i have never had a problem with exchanging them. i make sure they are clean of any major mud
and take them in. i say i have replaced 6 shafts in 4 years
and havent had to pay a penny. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Yes, I as.

Also claimed unemployment and was approved (and paid) because it was considered wrongful termination.

Accually you did:

Well if you're too stupid to put a voltmeter to your battery before you take an alternator back to the store, or check your battery cables because your starter won't turn, you're a moron anyway.

or did you forget that, too?

[ QUOTE ]
Okay, before you start dropping the AZ hires morons stereo-type, you need to think about it. I myself work for AZ and I am damn good at my job, and no attitude unless provoked.

I do agree that TIm is not helping the bad image that AZ has, sorry Tim, but facts are facts, your attitude sucks ass /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif.

With that said, please remember that not all AZ employees are Tim, there are still some good counter jockeys left, just have to look. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

You are correct, I should not generalize. The local AZ has two guys that seem to care and I like buying from them, but when they are not working I go next door.

Trying to get things back on track; I have had no problems w/ AZ taking warntee claims. The hard part is remembering what box I put the recipt in or what my PH# was when I bought it. That part has gotten a lot easier since I stopped moving and setteled in one place, though. I normally wipe the old parts down before bringing them back because I used to hate dealing w/ someone elses grungy part. If you accually find a good counter guy keep him happy. It is still a nice thing to do even though in todays age of everyone pays the same price "That's what the computer says it costs" it wont affect the bottom line like it did in the days of paper manuals & hand written recipts.

You're absolutely right. No matter where you go, you may find a good counterman.

Mainly it is the customer that decides on the quality of the part that they want too. It's up to you to pick a good part.
