Thanks!, I know they were tight it was the one time I torqued something to spec and actually checked on it occasionallyAxle wrap and/or less than completely tight can break the pins.
Yeah so when I'm turning specifically when I'm going from 1st to 2nd it'll shift mid turn and bark the tirethis is only on turns?
Here we go, that's a solid reason to go to 37s I like itI've got a Yukon grizzly locker and it will bark the tires in corners. I had to learn how to drive with it and generally coast through a turn, off the throttle.
Switching from 35's to 37's also seemed to help, possibly the added weight and rolling resistance.
I'll have to look into that. Option 2 isn't very likely but my pinion angle is good. Got the t case lowering spacers and then I have the shims it's right where it should be if not very close.upgrade to a grd 8 bolt and round the head . then have a flat machined in the wedge to let the pin sit correctly and NOT bend the pin . then get some center pin spacers or drill threads out of a 3/8" nut and round it also and add it in to give the pin more height and stick out correctly from the machined in flat . ALL this is from cheep shims not machined correctly and to short a center pin .
option #2 and better is new HD spring perches like diy4x or ruffstuff or offroad design and others sell and dial in your pinion angle and ditch the stupid shim.
I have a Yukon grizzly locker also the things been regeared to 456s to im thinking the torque is causing this. I put the coals to this thing almost every day and I also offroad it quite a bit I just assume the lift the tires and the leaf springs combined with the locker and the aggressive shifts is causing thisI wouldn't be attributing this to axle wrap unless your putting the coals to it.... straight, or turn.. i'm guessing no blocks, which makes it even more unlikely..
chirping while turning is usually a locker issue.. which one?
my guess is the center pin is unrelated.. and possibly was magnifying a locker chirp...
Interesting I did a spacer for thr front shaft so it would not have issues but it worth looking into.Them t-case drop kits kill the frt shaft angles / frame flange also . Your better off doing a c/v shaft and set the pinion angle for the rear .

Think about it . Your ANGLING down the rear of the case cause the engine is in the stock spot still . This in turn points UP the front output flange .Interesting I did a spacer for thr front shaft so it would not have issues but it worth looking into.
If the lockers jacked up its got a lifetime warranty so that's not a huge deal, we shall see what comes of thisaxle wrap will generally cause wheel hop, not a chirp per se... i would repair the spring pack properly and see what it does.. you can always give Kert money after..![]()
This is actually wrong tho, my lowering kit doesn't lower just the rear it has spacers for all 4 points that mount the tcase to the truck the whole thing is just a bit lower not just the ass end of itThink about it . Lots of the info i give is from first hand real world with these trucks . And also the rest of it i have learned from the members here !
Does it lower the engine too? This is actually wrong tho, my lowering kit doesn't lower just the rear it has spacers for all 4 points that mount the tcase to the truck the whole thing is just a bit lower not just the ass end of it
Oh okay I see what you mean. I was like hold up I didn't like Carolina squat my tcase or some shit hahaDoes it lower the engine too?
think about it, just lowering the t/c will make the drivetrain tilt to the back, which would raise then front output.
