Back In the Saddle Again

The one gear I found online and purchased was just refunded to me. So I will be using the original 5th gear I have. Next time I have to rebuild it I’ll have to swap ratios most likely. Hopefully that won’t be for a long long time.
 
I bought a giant 3/4” breaker bar and one of those torque adapters. Work fantastic and was really not hard to get to 275 at all with all that leverage. Went to 170 230 and then 275. Highly suggest welding a bracket to your bench though haha
I had my bigger than me little brother holding back on the garage floor when I did mine lol

Everything needed for the trans except the fitting to fit the OG master.

New motor mounts coming as well.

Since I’m hitting all the mounts. I want to do the body mounts as well. What kit are you guys using?
 
1/2 a kit?
some how I missed this. yes Mostly the upper pucks and my old hardware. The kit I got as a clearance item, and I found out why. Missing some lower pucks and some were just plain wrong

I finally get a weekend to work on the truck this weekend. Let’s see how far I can get.

I have everything here for the swap. Was hoping to at least have the old 350 pulled last night but my wife had other plans for me. Today I’m going full bore on pulling the drivetrain out. Hoping to be driving it on the new drivetrain by Monday morning for work. Wish me luck and I’ll post lots of pics.
 
To paint the fire wall or not. I’m leaning towards who gives a crap I just want to drive the thing but then again when will I ever have this access again? Hahaha
