Back In the Saddle Again

Hey, what are you up to tomorrow Wes? My career path is changing. Found a gig with less hours and I’m jumping on it.

Yard sale come on by, we are reducing the clutter. You can tell me about the new career. Bring the K5

Haha I pulled the interior out today. Might be able to bring my pops suburban by. Message me the address I’ll be there

Great meeting you and the better half, @K5Devil we'll have to break bread sometime soon.

thanks for the door lock rod Wes, I can now store it a little bit safer. I started pulling the 35 years of odd ball wiring out of the cab.

I don’t understand how so many people just lay more wire for speaker systems etc., over the years. And when they upgrade etc they just lay more wire.

probably pulled 60ft of useless wire out so far and still more to come lol

Mine had an extra little round piece of jute material in corner by gas peddle. This might change the way it fits

What floor kit is that? Need to do one in my 78 and that looks decent.
ACC vinyl kit from rock auto. It’s really nice. Just keep in mind that no holes are drilled and the former relies on cutting the 4x4 shifter into the right place first. If you can nail that placement it pretty much falls into place. Definitely suggest taking your time. I’ve been doing this over a period of a few days now.

Maybe one of you gents could answer me this. I pulled the windshield out of an 1988 K3500 pickup truck…got it for free and it’s tinted and has the antenna.

I’m wondering if there is any difference in windshields for 81-87 pickups vs blazers. As far as I can tell LMC lists them as the same windshields. So is there a chance I pulled a windshield that won’t work?

It will work. If you already have a glass with the antenna your set.

I pulled one from a '88 suburban put it in my '75 and took it back out to put in my '91. Trucks are the same.
