I was talking about the top shock eye on the bushing. When I had my Jeep I bought bar pin eliminators to keep the shock from sliding back and forth.
Yeah there’s a spacer there
I see what you’re saying I should put a washer on the side of the spacer to keep the shock eye from moving out of its mounts
He will when he flexes it.
Flex it and check clearance whe the driver side is drooping and see how close it gets.
If you have 3" now you probably will be fine but it will get closer
Took it out to bison out here last night and I had 0 issues except my tire rubbing the fender lol. Was too dark for me to really see what was going on. Rear end feels like dragging sack of bricks. Going to get that tackled in short order. My shock eye didn’t move forward or back stayed put. I’m still going to grind down the spacer and weld a washer onto the end to make sure it doesn’t slip off.
Front end feels great. I’m very satisfied with the ride quality.
Rear end like I said needs the attention now. I need to tackle the cobbled booger welded mess that is the rear shock mounts. Po welded some plate into the frame very poorly. He also welded the driver side shock directly to the frame.

Guy seen my blazer parked outside at work. He owns a local auto repair shop. Asked me if I wanted a bin of accessory brackets and pulleys for square bodies. I said hell yes. Some big block stuff in here too.

I’m having to grind out this mess on the frame. It’s not pleasant. I don’t like grinding. Can’t get my O/A torch at the correct angle to burn the crap off because the body is in the way and I’d worry about cutting into the frame.
Pop the bolts and jack the body up.

I might be able to save the driver side. The factory welds are cracked but I was able to get the shock off cleanly. The hole isn’t all wollered out either. I plan on putting my fabbed up square tube mount on the passenger side. Still need to pick up some more tube to make one for the driver.
Got it all in, reused what I left on the frame for the passenger side for now. When I get both brackets built I’ll finish the job right. Will work fine for street for the time being.
Took it for a spin down to the lake and back up the hill. Absolutely drastic riding difference. It’s night and day. No more jarring every time I hit a small bump in the road. It’s dang nice.

Took me a while to read this but sounds like you are as happy as I was about 9 years ago. Damn good feeling
Yeah, it’s like a new vehicle now. I couldn’t sleep last night worried about someone stealing it so I bought a GPS tracker for it lol
