Had my drivers side hood hinge break the spring. Was crazy shot out and just barely missed my face. Whats everyone using for hood hinges?

This is the factory 81+ torsion spring?
Yes and I kept these lubricated. The spring failed right at the center of the coil. Luckily it didnt hit anything at all.
Wiring Harness Update:
Well, I had previously asked Jabin for an update earlier this week. Mind you this is months after the harness should have been complete. He left me on read. I gave it 24 hours after he read the message. Decided to then let him know I will be submitting a dispute of the funds through my bank. I used my Credit Card for this very reason. He magically has time to answer me. Im not sure I want to even have this harness now. He said he would let me know the status of it when he gets home from work today. I said ill give you 24 hours before submitting the dispute. As far as I know the harness was never built at all. Lol
Ill take those funds and build one myself. Which I could have done in this amount of time easily.
Will update on what he says later today.

That is just terrible as a business owner. If this is his side gig, which it sounds like it is, I can understand a small delay but dont treat people like he is. Either bust your ass and work harder or make it a full time thing to get your customers happy.
Yeah he did respond something along the lines of “ive been really busy with work” to which I just left him on read. If I don’t get an answer Ill submit the dispute. Sucks because I really wanted his harness. But I could also use the money right now on other things.
i ordered a dual tank Wiring harness from him for my project and while the quality was good his customer service sucked. I had to hound him multiple times to finally get it. and once it arrived it did not have the larger gauge wire for the fuel pumps we talked about
He told me he is just waiting on the parts to finish the door wiring. He said he should have everything ready to be shipped Saturday. So im giving him until then to send me shipping confirmation.
Thanks for documenting the harness ordering issues! I am not to that point yet with my build, but I had been tentatively considering using him for a new harness for my truck. I hope you finally get what you paid for and that it lives up to quality expectations. I will be following along!
Well, I made a pivot on the seats again and stumbled on a deal I couldn’t let go. So these are Chrysler Seabring convertible seats. The replacement upholstery is available online in many different colors. I got this set for $100. The drivers side has power option too.

Supposedly it shipped on Saturday. The tracking info has me concerned as it is taking a very strange path to me. I will update if i get it on Wednesday like it says but I am not holding my breath. If it doesn't start heading south I am calling the bank as I am over it lol

Went from Iowa straight to portland. Its in LA this morning. Will be in Vegas today and then to me tomorrow. Just super weird. Must have went to Oregon by plane.

Received first box which is the main harness tailights, headlights and engine. This thing is absolutely gorgeous.
Still waiting on the door harnesses.
I am blown away by the quality and attention to detail. I almost feel bad for pestering him like I did. All OEM connectors and color wiring just like factory. Pics coming soon.

I felt the same way when I got my one touch down power window harness. Very nice work. As good or better than oem. The wait and communication suck though.
