Back In the Saddle Again

Shoulda bought my old snap on when i offered.

Where is the black one you had? Didn't you score another this summer?

Sounds like a cool gig.
I sold everything I couldnt take and good thing too because I wouldnt have had the space on the truck haha

Horror freight has the 5 draw general cart on sale this weekend. Is pretty decent can get quit a few tools in it

My first day real day I installed a 4link arm kit front and rear also panhard bars. on a '22 Jeep JL. Definitely was a pain not having a tool box. Did beat the time but not by much. I messed up and loosened left and right lower arms which caused axle to pull back. Without that mess up I would have killed the time standard. Learning a lot about jeeps. the Boss is a super cool young guy gotta be my age. Totally gets it and is just easy going which I completely appreciate.

Late to the party. No hassle up here in the K5. Mostly looking for drunk drivers. They signed off a couple tile transfers no problem in Southeast part of the state.,

I think the issue with the heater may be the blend door. Anyone know where I can find the info on properly adjusting that on top the heater box? Its screaming now when I turn the heater on like the blend door isn't actuating properly.

@Fastereddie Is a wizard with all things K5. If he's surfing the thread I'm pretty sure he'd chime in for you.

finally got around to fiddling with the heater and figured it out. Its dropping to around 10 ° here at night and having heat is mandatory. So if you look at the diagram. The pivot shaft (#13) will not actuate all the way towards driver side to allow the heat to stay hot. I have to force it over. I think this is because I do not have the rod that goes from it (#13) to (#16) properly adjusted. I did get it shoved over enough that it blows hot now and have set the rod there so it holds it. However, if I actuate the switch on the unit for Def-Heat-AC it will not return back to allow the heat to stay on. Also, I could not get the def to work at all. Confirmed All diaphragms have manifold vac working. IMG_6552.png

I think there is definitely something blocking the def and keeping that door open. I will eventually take it apart and figure out whats going on. But its way to cold currently lol

Been building stuff for other people lately. Just put this Game changer kit on this jeep. Front tires are flat on the ground. Really digging this job. Working on a SBC swapped 69 FJ cruiser right now. Ill post up some pics soon. Got a square in here for a transfercase rebuild ill post up some pics of that too. First time ive ever been in a shop that is so laid back. Ive always been pushed super hard to make the impossible possible and this job is just really laid back.
