"Backcountry Limo"

They are 1/2" plywood with black felt covering them. We pulled the entire interior from the 2nd row back. Laid a 3/4" rubber stall mat down with an anti condensation layer between the floor and the rubber. The boxes have us the firm sides for a cargo area and some extra storage. We just haven't decided on the topper for it yet.

You can do something similar, just dont fo as wide. Than if you take the third row out, you can throw an air mattress or foam pad down.

Well we got out for the last weekend of archery elk season. I forgot to take pics of the tarp awning and camp from the previous weeks. Here is the setup from Saturday.
Took a little bit of trail damage to the driver's side rockers also. Crossed a road block meant to keep the traffic to a minimum while logging. Road was open on both sides but they repaired a slide that isn't ready for commercial traffic.
Passenger rear wheel seal failed and now I'll need brakes also since I pushed it through season. Front axle needs hubs removed, cleaned and regreased. Rear driveline needs joints. All four springs are needing replaced, but the drivers rear is about to break. Shocks need nitrogen pressure checked. Transmission made it through the month but started making some crazy sounds this weekend. Engine overheated due to operator error(forgot to turn on fans) while towing the wiggle wagon to camp.

Scored another Suburban. I've only seen it from the road. It's been sitting for a while so I know nothing about its condition. A coworker parked it at a buddies place when he went through a divorce. He said, "it ran when I parked it." Hopefully I'll be able to either sale it as a running rig or use it for lots of parts to bring the limo back to glory.

The interior is complete, but the carpet and headliner have to be replaced. Seats are good. Center console will be replaced for a custom build or to swap mine in. Rear A/C is complete intact and supposedly should actually work.

We've been bouncing back and forth on the tailgate/barn door idea for a while. We like aspects of the tailgate. Than we like aspects of barn doors. After this last couple of trips and putting in the bed deck. We finalized our want for barn doors. Now the rest of the ideas have to be figured out.

Just thoughts right now. Seriously just brainstorming since I can't really shut it out. New toy and such. ;)

Engine swap: 6.0 or 8.1?

Trans swap: 4L80E or ? Probably depends on above

Front suspension: 4 link with coil overs

Rear suspension: ? Or ?

Axles will get selectable lockers for sure and geared before swapping under this frame.

Front clip swap to dual vertical headlights unless someone can show me LED upgrades for the 90 clip

I’m not positive Nate, but I think the headlights on a 91 camaro are the same as your new burb and they do have leds for them.

The interior is the 70/30 second seat. Same as what I currently have.
