Here is the spot under the passenger rear window.

I'm a little bit OCD right now. I'm thinking non stop about the new rig.

That is the same rust my suburban has, the tailpan, but the rockers and floors are solid.
My first suburban had the rust all around the rear windows towards the end.

The 91 style camaro is a 4x6 sealed beam, which is the same as the “stacked” quad headlights that were offered from 83-87ish. Not sure on the exact years. The 93-97 camaro takes a replacement bulb in a poly housing. I don’t know if the housing is the same size as the burbs sealed beams, but maybe that’s a direction to look into with led bulbs?
 
As far as I can take. The 4x6 is available in 2 different actual measurements. The vertical quad lights are slightly larger than 4x6 and the horizontal quad are undersized 4x6. If you look at all the different led lights on Amazon. None of them change out the 4701 sealed beam. I think that's the number we are trying to replace.

That’s interesting. Definitely not too hard to believe that! Just spitballing here, but is the reason they won’t interchange because most of the leds are a high/low beam, where yours are separate high and low beam?

Now that I typed that out I am realizing that doesn’t explain the size difference. Lol

It's all about the size dude! Come on. You of all people should know that. Lol

No really. All the dot LEDs come able to dual wire them. If you go back a few pages mine have both
 
Ohhhhhhhh.... dang man I need to go to bed. Lol I had this all mixed up in my brain. I have two generations worth of camaro headlights, and two styles of square body headlights fighting for attention in one of my lobes.

Was that a short joke??? :haha:I have round headlights so leave me alone! Lol

But my son has the quad 4x6 leds for his GMC.
 
Why do I even start this rig? It hasn't ran since October. Jumped it with a crash box. Let it run for almost 4 hrs straight as we investigate the community. Downed trees, no power, collapsed animal shelters and just a bunch of mess around Oregon right now. And the Limo just goes to work.

Power steering belt was loose. Went to tighten up the 4 different brackets that make up the pump mount because the A/C comp is no longer there. Tighten the belt, pump leaked. Loosen belt, pump no leak, no pressure for steering ram. Tighten the belt, pump leaks. Pull new pump out of parts bin. Remove the reservoir and found the Oring groove causing the leak. Get a new pump complete from the parts house once I found one. Try to remove the pulley only to bend the flange. So I got the pulley and everything. Get back to the house, and try to mount the new pump. The new reservoir is larger than original and wont fit in the bracket. Trim to fit as I have a serpentine belt setup on a spare builder engine in the garage. Not a task I was going to tackle as I was trying to get elk hunting.

Wired a new continuous duty marine solenoid with a generic toggle switch. I'm not ready to leave the fans on a thermal switch yet. I'll do that later I think. If I ever really want someone else driving it. Made it half a day and the fans blew a 40 amp maxi fuse. So in went a 60 to get us through the week.
