FYI you can loctite and reuse the nut. Some of them have a place to stake them also.

I have always replaced the nut, and never had one come loose.
I am 50/50 on replacing the nut and never had one come loose. Uga duga to spec and stake
Mine didn't completely fail yet, I just was chasing a vibration/ noise and replacing them and the shocks tightened up the front suspension and eliminated the vibration/ noise. I was at 75-80K on the truck and towing loads across the country before that.
sounds like my odds are pretty good just reusing the old one
