So at the end of the day yesterday ad I was driving off the beach I heard three large bangs from my 241 and lost 4x4, I still had 2wd but no 4x4. A visual inspection on the beach showed everything intact. So I probably have to pull t case and disassemble. Anything specific I should look for? 4l80/241 brand new drive shafts.FB_IMG_1722181144538.jpg

Check linkage and stuff

This is common to a front output shift fork problem though

Not saying for sure that’s what it is, but it’s where I’d look first

Appears to be a readily available part. I picked one of the many random suppliers just for examples of the fork and prices

I will definitely be removed from the truck and taken apart with care.

A passenger drop 241 fork is passenger drop specific.

Can you manually actuate the lever on the outside of the tcase? Does it feel like it still has its detents and spring pressure for gear selection?

No it slides around with no friction.

If the case itself isn’t damaged it’s likely rebuildable. Being that it’s functional in 2wd is promising but I wouldn’t rule out the possibility.

So part of the solution buddy gave me a 27 spline 208 that I can trade to a friend for a 32 spline vss 241 that will bolt in place of my mechanical speedo 241. When I do the swap I need to have my tuner fix the pulse emmiter on tbe t case and I'll install my shifter then also.20240730_143537.jpg20240730_143532.jpg
