@Wes Harden any thoughtsMaybe the chain popping off?
Thats what I was planning. Just haven't ripped one apart before. Not awful, you should be able to reuse the one in the truck. Unless it went hillbilly and lost its teef
If I still have 2wd that means the input is in working order? Not awful, you should be able to reuse the one in the truck. Unless it went hillbilly and lost its teef
Yeah and they are fairly robust. I would be surprised if it’s not the front output shift fork actuallyIf I still have 2wd that means the input is in working order?
I don't know if my chain slipped. I imagine that's what the inside of my t case looks like.View attachment 483551this is an extreme example of what many people diagnose as a chain slipping. My understanding is that the chain is not a factor in 2wd.
I've been into 3 with at least a little wear on the range fork.
I've never heard of a catastrophic and complete chain failure, but then, I'm not a mechanic, builder, ....I just work on stuff.

Do I need a kit? This is a very tight budget right now.Just don’t do what I did and put the synchro in backwards and tow it to blazer bash with a rented trailer
I got my entire kit with chain from ord.
