BB 2010 Dates?

Sorry I miss-spoke, I got the last room with 2 queen size beds, for those dates, at the Archway Inn

More than likely, I'll end up canceling the rooms and staying in a tent as my wife does not approve of building junk to go down and spend a bunch of time, money, just to break the junk again.
So, long story short, I'll be tenting it. But I'm definitely going.

So, this is how you fix that:
Start off easy, get to an obstical, you get out and spot your rig have her drive. She'll be uneasy at first. You need to be calm and don't yell. She isn't going to do it, the way you want it done, at first. ;)
This ensures you don't get a bad spot, that binds & brakes your rig saving $$$. "Well, unless your a bad spoter." :haha: She'll see how fun wheeling is, you've made her a part of your sport and your spending time together.
Over time she'll do harder and harder obstacles, just like you have.:D
She'll break your rig, don't loose your mind, that's part of the plan.:rolleyes:
She'll then see the value of bigger stronger parts. $$MONEY$$ well spent and
at that point, it's her idea! This method takes time but works really well.
If you have little kids under 5 years old , this takes even longer.
You'll need a safe, shaded, caged area in your rig. Make short trips wheelin.
Be sure to pack lot's of snacks and drinks extra clothing ect. Have the misses
find the stuff you should have. Have her pack it. ;) It's called nesting, at first she"ll think it's work, then she'll get into it. The hard part is getting them to stop. If not you rig will weigh 3 tons and look like the grapes of wrath.:haha:And if it does, oh well! Your still wheelin and spending time with your family.

Yep, that works for our family too. I remember my wife rode with me on the first Blazer Bash we attended and she commented that maybe it was time we got a front locker too. :D I've also done a couple of trail runs and had her drive. I figure if nothing else. it's a good idea that she knows how to drive the truck if something happens to me and she has to get off the trail on her own.

You know I'm thinking this year at Blazer Bash we should do a "ladies" run on Sunday where the wives and girlfriends get to drive. I suppose maybe daughters too for that matter. :thinking:
 
I completely agree with the wife and kids thing too. Thats how I ended up with the 4 door s10 blazer body inplace of the standard cab. There is just nothing like rock crawling in South Dakota with a big plastic dump truck hanging out the back! Besides baby wipes are one of the best things to have around form wiping hands after fixes to back sides when nature calls. My wife brought up one trail ride that I could use some lower gears in 2 wheel drive. So the doubler began. God love her! :D My kids won't be making blazer bash with us this year, me and wife wanted a trip alone, but they make every other trip.
 
My wife prefers to drive her own truck...

Wife was saying the other day she needed to learn to drive mine if she had to. Gonna take a few cushions or pillows for her to see out the window. The seat does move forward enough for her to use the pedals. She has only moved it a couple times since the lift was done.

This could be fun!!!
 
last time I let my lady drive mine she almost took us off a cliff cause she couldn't see. My seat doesn't move,

I bought her a 4runner after that.
 
Canceling my Reservations. Archway Inn 139.00 per night

I have reservations at the Archway Inn for the 9th, 10th, 11th, Sept. 2010. It sounds like I'm going to be giving these up as my best friend that's riding shotgun isn't in the mood for a bill that big. So I guess I'll be tenting it.

If someone would like these reservations, let me know before I call and cancel on the 5th of April when I get back from playing Army. PM me and we'll figure out a way to conference call with Archway Inn and get them moved to you.
 
My wife was the one who suggested we buy the Blazer. She even wrote/signed the check! Then after BB09 when we had steering problems and after I clobbered the tie rod a couple of times on some local trails, she was up for the high steer conversion.
 
Man, I wish I could make it. Sounds like a blast! I was supposed to be in Wyoming about that time, but the military changed its mind. Now I don't even know where I'll be. Probably still here in Cali... and that may be too much of a drive to talk my wife into it...
 
will i wont be haveing my suburban do to the engine but was wondering if i can take a nissan hardbody once i get it going
