BB15 event schedule

I want to be the trail leader for Rusty Crack. My tenure on Golden Spike is up for now and I'll be seeking a new leader and tail gunner volunteer.

I did Rusty Crack twice a couple years ago and swore I'd never do No Left Turn again...

In other words, I'll be your Huckleberry :haha:

Hmmm, I remember talking about that trail B1. It's amazing what a little taste of Moab does to someone. I want more, but currently still fear body damage. :/

LOL! I don't even have to start a trail leader volunteer thread.

There shouldn't be any body damage on Rusty Crack as long as you have good rock sliders. Unless you make a left turn on no left turn, but then body damage is the least of your worries

If B1 has mad respect for this trail, you know it's got to be a good challenge!

The trail isn't that bad, it's just this part that makes you nervous:

Of course it never looks as bad in pictures as it feels when you're in the drivers seat.

I hate that part, with that God I'm never doing that again but the adrenaline rush makes it cool so I'll do it again.

So I'm guessing it's not allowed to be an official trail, but has anyone here ever done "Where Eagles Dare"? When you drop down into the canyon right after Skyline Drive on the full Golden Spike run it goes off to the left then joins back in with Golden Spike closer to the crack.

I want to run that next year. I'll run it before the official Blazer Bash dates, but we're usually up there a week early anyways.

So I can can change the name of the run to Golden Spike - Where Eagles Dare.

Holy crap I'm in

Just reminds me of taking the wrong line on Moab Rim and getting super tippy. That would have been a short BB for me :doah:

I'm going to run it before Blazer Bash. I don't know anyone that has run it or how hard it is (other than the description which is not very helpful). Besides, I'm the tailgunner for Rusty Crack.

Have you ever run Pickle B2? It's only 500 feet long...

Yeah it's short. I figured it would be good for me to get back for the BBQ prep and others could go play around on other trails if they wanted. It's one I've wanted to do several years now.

I've run it before. It's fun. There is another trail on the way out from that called Mashed potato that is also kind of fun to play around on.

I am putting B1 and B2 in charge of my trail selections :D You saw my truck, but you know I'm not a fan of body damage. (Though that could change depending on what I do to it between now and BB)
