I'm looking to do the same on a BBC I have sitting in my garage.
I took the kits and put there part numbers in an excel spreadsheet.
The only difference in part numbers is:
A/C kit has these extra parts:
01134343 1 Compressor Asm, A/C R4
10187612 1 Bracket-A/C Cm0pr
10187613 1 Bracket-A/C Cmpr
The Non A/C kit has this extra part:
10055890 1 Pulley, Idler
ALL OTHER PART NUMBERS ARE THE SAME.
The funny thing I did notice is that both kits come with two belts:
88986828 1 Belt, W/Pump and A/C Cmpr and Generator
88986813 1 Belt, Fan, W/Pmp, and A/C Cmpr
I don't think (that is usually my problem

) that the external bolt holes are different between gen IV and V and VI BBC's, but I could be wrong. I think the differences are mostly internal with the newer blocks not having a fuel pump boss. If that is the case these kits should work for us.
My only concern is the A/C pump and brackets. My truck did not originally come with A/C so I will be putting a vintage air a/c unit on my truck. I am hoping that it can use the GM pump that comes with the kit or that the vintage air pump will bolt into the GM bracket.
If you find out for sure that it will/won't work, please let me know.
