Look great Adam. And there you have it. A business selling custom sheet metal art. No cnc required.

I'd love to sell

This was by far the hardest one I've done so far. Circles are far from easy.

how are you trimming that? do you have shears?

Haha I wish.

Tin snipped the big corners. Then portaban in vice with a zip tie on the trigger and a lot of patience..... It focking sucked hahaha.

Adam, you know this is one of the things I want to do and sell out of my shop. Among machining my tube rolling machine. I want to manufacture fab equipment for serious home fabricators. And my art work. I want to do my tattoo style art work in metal. Only with insane detail. I bet if you do a few of those and put them up for sale people will buy them. Garage art. Paint one up all nice and it will sell.

Yea you have some serious man cave material here that people will spend money on. I spent last night picking out family pictures and one of the items is a family picture on a sheet of metal like you are making. One sample was a High School graduation photo were the kid had a picture with his truck. Nice bends in the sheet metal and solid looking bolts in the corners. It looked cool, and the pic on the sheet metal cost $1500 and was smaller than a poster. The Dad bought as soon as he seen it.

This is cool stuff and I may want something:popcorn:

Thanks guys! Ive spent about $350 in the last 24 hours on layout tools, solid rivet tools and supplies, and a new set of beadroll dies that will allow for a lot more detail.

You can say Im enjoying it lol. I also sold the shield for $75. That is as soon as I can figure out how to ship it to Oregon... Hopefully I can keep getting better and be able to sell stuff for lots of cash to afford more stuff.

Id love to have this as a toy/tool fund.

Soooooo.......

Between last night and right now, I have over 25 requests for panels to be made.... I just bought 2 more 4x8 sheets of aluminum and am having them cut into blanks, both rectangular and circles.

If im not around much for a while.... You may know why :flipoff7:

That's bad ass Adam. Keep it up man. Work toward your own business. Be your own boss. Can't get any better then that. Damn do I need a bead roller..

Which solid rivet gun did you order? The one my brother got took FOREVER to get!

EDIT: nevermind, went back and saw your links. Keep up the great work!!

Bad Ass brother! Hard work will pay off. Be patient. Remember, ever inch brings experience. And skill. That's so valuable.

Thanks!

A guy at work has a machinist buddy that's gonna make me some die sets for a few 6 packs :D

The bad thing about the ones I have, and its evident in the final product, is if you have lines or corners that are any closer than about .75" to each other, it deforms the already existing beads. It is because of how wide the dies are, so I drew up some dies that are a only about 1/4" wide at the beading area that I hope will help a lot.

They are cutting my things right now.

How exciting :)

I'm going to be a busy boy this weekend.

I spoke with the boss a while ago about machining cool CK5 stuff. He was interested but of course my cancer has delayed my productivity a bit :angry1:. I have a huge list of bad ass machine parts with the ck5 logo on it. I will still get there some how, one way or another.
