BENDER stays in hibernation with me

Yeah, most of the reasons they brag about it being better are things that would cause problems. They brag they don't need a clean tach signal, then you read about people having issues with erratic fueling because of varying RPM readings.

They brag about not needing a huge wire harness because of the built in PCM, but you see people having trouble with PCMs going out.

No welding necessary, but you get leaking oygen sensors and poorly running engines.

Says it works with super low engine vacuum bot no one can seem to make their engines run right then.

Brags about self tuning but then most people that buy them have to change the tuning with their laptops.

There was one guy who has a 40 page thread ( didn't read it all) but he was basically messing with it for a year to get it to run right, had to send it back at least once, etc.

I would stay away for the little cost difference. Plus, the EZ EFI will run multiport injectors with the same computer if you want, and it actually does what it says. Anyway, sorry for the hijack.

IMO, I wouldn't want the ECM on the throttle body anyway. I never really looked at that other one, but not happy with the ECM placement anyway. I'd rather have it in a cool and non-vibrational area.

The heads would be nice, but I have to look at my options. I know of a set of used/new AFR heads but not sure of the specs. Again, haven't gone down that road far enough to have any opinions on setup. :)

I swear, I'm either adding new parts to my garage or taking off parts and storing them in the garage. Not sure how much is getting accomplished :doah:And what doesn't fit easily in the garage, goes in the blazer :haha:

I picked up some 2002 WRX seats. These have much needed side bolsters and smaller floor brackets. Now I can mount the seats exactly how I want. On a plus, they are a good color combo. Black goes with the dash and grey goes with all the rest. :waytogo:

Got a free dual 10" subwoofer box from a co-worker. Fixed wires, test with my s10 and it works good.

Serpentine belt setup.

Pulled the gas tank out. Was kind of a bear doing it, but came out with minor fuss. Ended up pulling the hitch off, skid, then the tank, and before a football game on TV took over....the rear shocks were gone too. :D

I guess I have some cleaning fluid for all these nuts, bolts, and washers. Luckily, there was only ~4 gals left that for some reason my siphon couldn't get.

Those seats look freekin sweet!! I like my blazer seats really, I think they are quite comfy.

On the list now is:

Body lift and new pads
Cut rivets and bolt in shackle flip
Add 6" DIY shackles, 56" leafs, 0-rates to move rear axle back to center
Biltsien shocks
TBI tank
TBI sender with new fuel hose for FAST EFI.

Then the rear will be done, other than a drive shaft, disc brakes, brake lines, detroit locker, 4.88s, and DIY cover. :D

If I drove this every day, I would probably keep the late model Tahoe seats. They are very nice when driving ALL day. I need more support and mounting options, plus these set up pretty good for harness.

O yeah, and I have everything in my garage for the rear end stuff, except 4.88 gears and driveshaft. :waytogo:

Ahh I see, That FAST looks perdy BTW, too bad ima blow all my funds on coils and links, otherwise id prolly get that.....

Yeah those seats do look good in there. I don't know how well you'll be able to see out of the windshield with the way you have them mounted now though. :D Dash looks awesome too. Also you have the same steering wheel I'm think about getting. How well do you like it compared to the stock wheel?

awesome build! everything looks clean and kinda like you know what your doing haha keep it up!

I like it, but it's a bit too small. I wish it was a 15" wheel with the same look. On road is cool, didn't have much trouble offroad, but it moves more than I'd like. Hydro assist has been in the works for a while though, so wasn't worried about it.

addiction to ck5 is no laughing mater :doah:

This is looking great!!! I would like to see how that F.A.S.T. works. I've heard some good things about it but I'm just not ready to drop that much money on it right now. still in the early stages of my build.

Go with a newer OEM wheel. The one they put in the higher trim models from 1989-1991, or any of the newer body style pickups from 1988-1994. They are thicker, nice and wide, and use the OEM mounting instead of those silly adapters.

I've had my eye out for those when I'm at the junkyards. Haven't stressed it much lately since the truck doesn't even run :(

Doesn't really look like it, but this is progress :doah: Just sold my crossover set up, fully rebuilt Dana 44. Putting a little money back in my pocket and making room for my dana 60. I've only got half my body lift done, still need the driver's side. I'm taking a week off work, in about a 10 days. That's when all hell is let loose. Engine install, D60, shackle flip, 56s, shocks, FAST install, etc etc.

Good luck on finding a D60 like the one you need in only 10 days. Or do you already have it lying around? I'm too lazy to go back and read right now. It's too early.
