Bertha, picking up where Shewheeler left off.

So I quit my decent pay/high stress too many hours run you into the ground job, for a $9 an hour pay cut and 35 hour a week job. A much needed sanity recharge and my family is better for it. I'm working a swing shift and have lots of me time during the day now:woot:

Sometimes a man has gotta do what he's gotta do...money isn't everything. Good to see you back at it and hopefully happier with the new gig!

I have wanted to get the hell out of that place for a while. And it got to the point my wife told me to get a low stress/low paying job and just quit...so I did.

Waaayyyyy happier, more family time, all federal holidays off, no Saturdays, 8 hour days, and four 10s durring summer and Christmas break :pimp:

Be careful that fan doesn't blow you away...

.

When I was grinding off what was left after I torched off the old shock mounts, I didn't feel like laying in a cloud of smoke and dust :D

This is a big thing. Huge quality of life improvement. I just have to figure out how to fund this thing at the reduced pay rate :D

I was a maintenance supervisor/tool maker/fabrication dood/CNC programmer/electrician/plumber/general problem solver at a manufacturing facility for 17.5 years.

Now I am a substitute custodian for a school district. This is how you get in. And once you are in the opportunities are unlimited.

Very cool! I completely understand.. I'm a gov dude so the security is the main reason I switched also.

Lucky! Our Union has tried to get four 10s during summer but the district wouldn't go for it.

The four 10s thing is bad ass. All these days off that you can actually plan things around.

When I left my last job I came away with a check for 200+ vacation hours. They were mad,but it was there fault because they wouldn't let me use it.

Cool Friz, how do you think the mono spring will hold up?
Those are just for getting it all set up. When it's done I will put all the leaves back in.
