Best Ratchet ever made?

and....am I going to be bidding against all of you on eBay right now????

the dual 80 is real nice stuff.. but watch anything used, from any manny... as I've alluded to earlier, even the best of models, abused can need rebuilding...

so if I find a truck and buy one new, which is the one...I like the teardrop style but I like the round handle, not the flat like on the low profile ratchet...how much is it gonna cost at the truck?

I often keep the bluepoint ratchets in my "watch" list.. if they go cheap enough, I'll bite.. but have at it! :haha:

what's the "right price" on the Blue Point so I don't over pay?

oh, and I've become quite fond of quick release buttons.. considering I spin wrenches for a living, it's just WAY more convenient than the standard ball/socket ratchets... :haha:

20 is a decent/good price on the 1/4's.. I'd never pay over 25 total.. the 3/8's, $30-ish total.. maybe 35 if you really needed one..

btw.. Greg or Rene... move this to the "tool forum ".. :haha:

i don't know...we are approach a half million responses and views :haha:

he!!, my novel only has 900,000.. this thing is at 750.. :haha:

hunt eghey imo... for the right pricea snappy, mac or matco is a good deal.. but as I mentioned, used can be a cr@pshoot.. it may be fresh as he!!, or skippin like a schoolgirl on recess... :dunno: :haha:

Careful it can be very addicting buying ratchets you will keep wanting more I have way to many snappy, mac, matco and cornwell just tell the wife you need them all

yeah, ok.. keep telling yourself that...

find a gearwrench ratchet of this quality... not that it isn't overpriced, but you wont find it's equal in quality either...

Figured that get some wood.
I've been a mechanic all my life being 50.
I have used and owned them all. 6 and 12 point, craftsman, SK when they were good, proto, blue point, snap on, gearwrench, jcpenny tools, remember them? Harbor freight Boney wrenches work fine. I've got blue point ratchet wrenches from snap on that say Taiwan right on them.
They are all going to break and usually due to miss use.

Better quality sure , worth 3 times the cost, not unless it's a specialty tool.

Tools don't make the mechanic the mechanic makes the tool.

I'd rather have a set of cheaper ratchet wrenches etc and a pressure washer than have the snap on man laughing all the way to bank on me.

I think I'll go buy a 5000 dollar snap on tool box because it says snap on and has chrome trim. Oh and the double triple ball bearing drawers.

Like you said think what you want but to each his own. It's all good.
:) :)

one last one....that FL80 is 94.95 new on the Snap On site...

will it be more or less if I flag down the snap-on truck? :dunno:

amen to that... :waytogo:

I spent yr's with like 1 1/2", 3/8's and 1/4"... now I have 3 1/2"s... probably 4 3/8's and 3 or 4 1/4's... :doah: :haha:

flex, straight, long, doh............... :haha:

same as far as I've ever seen.. weekly mechanic, sometimes you'll get some deals.. but overall, not really...

pick your ratchet, and watch eghey specifically for that part #.. it'll turn up at 1/2 truck/book price at some point..

Truth. I have ten. And that's just at work! I was looking at my ratchets one day and thinking "I got a lot of money tied up in this drawer." That's why I snapped the picture I posted. I was gonna start a thread about ratchets.

I'm weird.
