Well then we might as well all just log off of Colorado K5 and never sign back in.

A lot probably should... Like I said, nothing wrong with buying a part if you're not into building it...

To many people get on the net looking for a shopping list... Having no clue why they should buy this or that... Just looking for approval... Not just our sport, but across the board...

A lot of people would benefit from logging off and picking up a tool... Take something apart, put it back together and see if it works...

But, some people will never get it... Just sayin'...

Well I don't like wasting my $$$ and sites like this help people to not waste $$$ by buying a product that's not up to par...

I believe that there are a lot of people wasting money based on the info they get on forums...

There's a lot of people on forums that have no business giving out information despite their post count...

I'm not pointing fingers, but people need to understand... Post count doesn't make the advice worth listening to... There are people on here with a post count of under 100 that have more knowledge than the 15,000 post count wanna be users...

Remember, this is an open forum... You or anyone else can say what they want... I believe that most of what people say is bad advice, based on what they were told and not from experience...

Challenge what you don't know... It may show the the right and wrong way to do things...

I agree with you on that. There is lots and lots of bad advice on the internet. That being said, I don't see much bad advice in this thread. A couple questionable posts, but no bad advice.

I'd like to know if anyone has actually broken there shackle flip/ stock shackle or other wise. I used to run a home brew flip using the front hanger from a pickup. it was plenty burly, just regualar ol factory stuff.

but really, the only reason to upgrade is cause some part has failed, correct? so has anyone used one type of flip, had it fail them, went to another and found it to be better in the same situation? :dunno:

but what do i know, i don't have a dana 60/ cross over steering or tube bender so i have no business on the trails anyways...

The easiest to install is to cut out the bottom of the factory hanger. Removing factory rivets is one of the suckiest jobs on the rig. Skip that, cut a hole and weld a couple of braces. Now we're talking minutes instead of hours and no problems trying to get behind the gas tank.

I'm just sayin....
