Guys, is there a better contact at Ballistic to actually get something done right? This is ridiculous. On March 25th, I placed an order for $530 worth of joints and tube adaptors, etc. They charged my account the next day, March 26th, for $530. So almost two weeks went by, and then on Friday, April 8th, I got an e-mail saying my parts were on backorder. At this time I had a change of plans for now anyway with my 4 link, I was going to wait. It was later on Friday, so I thought, no big deal I contact them monday. So I write an e-mail early , Apr 11th, Monday morning EST (before they were open), asking them to cancel the order). So I never heard anythnig so I follow up Monday afternoon with a call. They say they can't cancel it. I said, I just got an e-mail less than 1 business day ago saying it was on backorder. OK, we'll cancel it. So a week goes by and nothing. So I call again, they say sorry, I don't know why the money wasn't sent, we'll process the refund, call back in 7-10 business days if you don't see anything. So another couple weeks and nothing. So I call again, sorry, there was an error, call back in a couple days. So I call 4 days later, it's still processing. By this time is has been almost 5 weeks since they charged my account $530. So finally, today, May 5th, almost 6 weeks after the account charge, I get a refund of....$397? What the Fvck! How do you not give someone a full refund when you NEVER sent anything in the first place, after countless calls and near 6 weeks later? I need to talk to a manager or something. Please help with any contact info you have. Thank you.

It's my debit card, the money is already gone and they kept $133 for doing absolutely nothing. I am sorry to rant about it, but I feel like I have been extremely patient over the last several weeks. And no one there EVER mentioned not getting a full refund in any of the calls. But now that this happened I am very mad. How do they think you can keep $133 for doing nothing at all but holding my money from me for 6 weeks?

WOW! A 25% re-stocking fee for an item they never "stocked"????

Yeah, you definitely need to get in touch with the owner directly. Sounds like B.F. hasn't really improved in their customer service much..... Pirate is full of similar stories about them (slow shipments, no responsiveness, etc). I forget the owners name, but he has a username over there.... I'd find him and insist that he make this right.

EDIT:

I'm feeling generous today....

thats crazy and I was just going to order a ballistic joint for my anti wrap bar.

Thanks for the info guys, I just registered at Pirate. I can't read my personal e-mail until lunch time to activate it. But I will post up there and try to get it resolved. Because calling them doesn't seem to work, everyone needs to see what they did anyway at this point, it's pretty ridiculous. I now feel like I was too patient with them.

Get a currie johnny joint or something. Ballistic joints are good, but EVERY single time I order there I have an issue, usually it's annoying mistakes that they fix, but it's always something. Usually I just deal with the hassle, let them fix it, let it slide and move on, but this one was just blatantly unnacceptable.

If your debit card is a Visa card, you still get the benefits of a Visa credit card. I had an issue with a company that did not return my money and I called Visa to dispute it...they returned my money in about three weeks.

BallisticDave is actually the guy at Pirate that's been handling their issues; there's a thread about 400 posts long in their vendor forum addressing MANY issues such as this.

Their cancellation policy is terrible...it only says they charge a 20% for any cancellation to compensate for transaction fees.
BS!...20% of your order to pay for their transaction fees?? The average fee credit card companies charge 2% for their transactions.
In your case, you cancelled because they could not deliver the parts...their cancellation policy should not apply.

"Cancellation: Orders that are cancelled will be assessed a 20% cancellation fee to compensate for multiple transaction fees. This 20 % amount will still be available to the customer as in-store credit for future purchases. YOU MUST CALL TO CANCEL YOUR ORDER."

And they shouldn't charge you until they are ready to ship it in the first place like most honorable places do. If that was the case this never would of been an issue at all.

It's in their stupid policy to charge your card when the order is placed even if the part is placed on back order.
They do not have good policies..

"Online Orders - When placing an order on our website your credit card will be charged as soon as the order is placed. If items are out of stock your order will be filled as soon as the out of stock items are available."

I especially like this policy; no warranty unless noted:

Disclaimer: All products purchased in this category carry no liability provisions unless so noted. Any and all damages that may arise from any claim are the sole responsibility of the end user (purchaser). All products purchased carry no warranty unless so noted. By purchasing, you agree to these terms and conditions.

call the bank that issued your debit card and tell them that you paid for something and it was never delivered. you'll have your money back in a couple of weeks. the merchant will send a chargeback form to ballistic but they will credit your account immediately until they respond. it is possible that they will win if they go through all the trouble of filling out the forms and faxing over all there contract/policies but by the sound of it they wont bother.

Crap. I did just that last week. I was hoping to get it in another week. Everything else is built and painted. I'm just waiting for the joint. I ordered one months ago and it didn't take long at all. Fast forward to a week ago and I destroyed the threads. :doah: What's so good about the "no snap ring" design?
