After reading the thread on Pirate, all I can say is Ballistic Dave is one piece of work...if he worked for any other company and responded to customers the way he did on Pirate, he would be fired in a minute.

I only use this forum for wheelin'. I made a couple posts in PBB once I created a registration just for that, but I think it's already known over there anyway.

Well, they locked their own thread, and now for some reason, the other one I posted in (first link above), got "moved", yet it is no where to be found? Hmmm...
I still haven't heard back from my bank yet about the dispute, waiting on those results.

That's what I would have done after the 1st week. Companies agree to certain terms when they sign up to be able to use Visa. They will lose in the end. Its why I buy everything from a vendor with a CC. Even mighty paypal gets hosed if you dispute charges that is why paypal wants you to sign up for one of THEIR CC's with a different set of rules.
Your bank will settle this without much fuss.

Well, Ballistic is now fighting the dispute! They sent documentation to my credit union saying I agreed to those terms when I placed the order. However, the terms they circled said a 20% fee, and they kept 25%. So now I have to pay a fee to continue the dispute, and I might lose, or I might only get 5% back. What a crock.
They did state they keep it as store credit, but to me that's worthless, I can never get any of their parts when I need them anyway. Especially when it is their problem they couldn't ship.
I think I will tell them I have a 50% fee for backorders that I am not notified about within 24 hours of ordering, since it took them two weeks to tell me it was on backorder. So they owe me $260.
If they say, "well that's ridiculous", then I guess they'll know how I feel.

if they spent the time they spend contesting charges and doling out "holier than thou" excuses on the intramaweb, on customer service, they might have a chance... but alas, people are stupid....

well the fresh thread over on pirate had 4 padges real quick and lots of talking out his butt from dave @ ballistic fab.
thay had a lot of fun in the thread. and it looks like thay finaly gave in and refunded his money.

Did you notice how Dave back peddled on his previous comments? Unbelievable...in his first comments he ripped the customer, and then when he gets called on it, he says it was a misunderstanding on their part and now he will refund his money. He also threw in there that somehow the credit card company had something to do with it...again placing blame somewhere else.
i would love to catch him in public and kick him square in his junk .

I saw and posted on the thread but they only fed us words guys nothing else and when I called ballistic out on the previous victims the jack ass mod errased the posts and closed the thread I don't believe **** from them

Well I talked to my bank, and they said because they have that legal BS contract when you place the order, that at best we will probably only win the 5% back, and it will cost me $25 to proceed since ballistic stab are contesting it, not even worth it. So I guess I am back to calling f'ing ballistic stab and seeing what I can do. Man I am tired of dealing with them, they frustrate me every time I call them.
