Big tires with little lift - Let's see them

Let's define the title of the post a little more.

:D How about tires over 40" on 4" or less lifts. :deal:

No lift and 36x12.5-16.5 on GM factory 16.5x6.5(?) wheels. Very minor fender trimming in the front. 1 ton springs don't really flex.
Only rubs the forward drag link...whoops. Had to limit my turning radius to the right and am looking at narrower 36" tires.

4" lift 56s in the front, stock 2500HD 64" in the rear.
2" body lift
44" rubber
I'll throw the 60s in if I actually break enough stuff on the weenie axles.

I used to run it with stock 56s in the front and 40" rubber. There was less clearance then. Other than that and about 70hp, same thing.

That is awesome :thumb::thumb::bow:

Is it a trazer?

Hi there. My name's Can Can. Nice to meet you all......

I'm only gonna say this once. EVERYBODY needs to back the fock up and quit while they're ahead.

howdiy- Please take my advice and quit stirring the ****. You're not impressing anyone, including myself. Keep on pushing your luck and I'm gonna be forced to take action. I sure hope I'm clear.

The rest of you(and you know who you are)- You know better. Unless you feel like learning how to play a brand new instrument, I suggest you start taking the high road.

Thanks for your cooperation, lads.

How about we just delete everything on the last couple pages that has nothing to do with big tires and little lift?:dunno:

Thanks for the props.

I could have never done this without the help of Bud Light, Miller Light, Rustoleum, and some of my kids sidewalk chalk.

I would also like to thank my wife for all her support........or at least letting me do stupid things to my truck.......:haha::haha::haha:

Alright gentlemen, I left enough for others to get the drift of what occurred. Please keep the thread on topic.

Thanks.

LMAO

44" TSL on 12 bolt H1's with 52" fronts and 64" rears.

I saw that someone had asked how far they could move the axle foreward before problems so I thought I'd chime in on that. I moved my axle foreward with the 52's (2" roughly) and then added a zero rate in the 1.5" foreward position and I hit my spring pad on the drag link end. I backed off to the center position and things are all better now excpet my tires rub the floor a little. :doah:

Nice lookin truck cybersniper :waytogo: Got a link so I can see some more pics? I like what you did with the front fenders

The one in my signature should work now. I don't have much in the way of pictures after hurricane Katrina taking out my website a while back.

The front axle is moved 4.5" forward, the cab is moved 3" back, and the engine is moved 2.5" back. Things look a little disproportionate that way.

The front fenders looked a lot nicer the first time I welded them up but after getting beat on and twisted they had to be rewelded and I didn't do nearly as nice of a job with the bodywork. But they were my "trial run" fenders anyway since they're full of body filler due to rust. If I decide to stick with the fullsize theme I'll probably make new fenders that aren't quite so swiss cheese.

The truck was originally painted with Durabak Smooth Blue with UV. It looked like **** after the first two months. Biggest waste of $220 in my life. It's since been painted with Rustoleum Metallic Blue.
