Bilstein 7100

I think this is a good stop gap, it’ll be better than an off shelf shock, rebuildable and you could make your money back on them. I think having a better shock and spring setup to work for what you want to do is better than total travel..

Agreed. My suburban maxes out a 14” shock up front but the 5100s on it don’t have the valving needed to control my ORD springs. So just because I have a bunch of travel doesn’t make them right for my application, which st the moment is daily driving. 7100s are probably my next shock.

Tell him $180
Rebuild them
Maybe valve them slower than the 360/80, but that would be a good starting point. I like my 14" travel 7100s. I wish my rear 14" were 7100s instead of the 5125s.

370/110 is what our spec shocks come with. It works for the coil trucks pretty good.

Anyone close to Santa Clarita that's willing to pick these up for Me? The guy said he's getting a lot of interest in the shocks. I wouldn't be able to go that way till this weekend.

Sure thing
Don't need any thing extra

@K85 Octane what did you valve you’re 7100s at? How did you’re 52s differ from a set of stock ones? I know yours were built by ORD.
@sreidmx would I be able to get 370/110 valveing for the 7100s?

I found a site that sells the valving for the 7100s, custom and premade stacks.

I’m just trying to figure this out because my plan is when I do my engine swap I’d like to do the suspension as well because I’ll have to drop the gas tank and I’ll hopefully be adding an A-bomb to my truck if funds allow..I’m trying to collect parts right now.

Sreidmx, you and Jake Prepare for a lot of calls lol, when this process gets going I’ll be needing a lot of help and asking a lot of questions. Jakes shop is like 5 or 10 minutes from where I live right now.

360/80 I think is the "off the shelf" valving they have for those
275/70 or something like that is the standard 5100 series valving
Went from TCHD 47" springs to the ORD 52s. Not much comparison.

I’ve been throwing around the idea of a 6 Inch tuff county EZ ride for the front. I wish they made a 5 inch flavor so I could put a zero rate and move the axle forward.

Yes, moves the axle forward or back the same as the 1" version, but only 1/4" thick.

I may look into that. Thanks.
I wanna do the 52 swap in the front but not 100% sure what I'm getting myself into..thats why I've been thinking about the tuff country springs for the front.
