But on a serious note, Ive been driving the hell out of it...its doing great
JINXED!!!
Damn thing broke down last night on my way home from work.
Called about a million places to get it towed but no one could do it right away or it was too big for thier truck (I didnt think it was that big

)
Finally found a guy that towed it home for $85...gave him $100 since he was saving my ass.
The problem...well its complicated.
Now Im no cooling system wizard so if I explain something wrong, please tell me
So after my lunch I heard a sizzling sound...like liquid hitting a hot surface. I went to inspect what it was and opened the hood to a engine bay covered in coolent. Upon inspection I found that the upper hose was fine, there was no visible cracks on the thermostat housing, but the coolant seemed to be coming out between the tstat housing and intake...my guess was a bad tstat housing gasket. Had my work order me a new one from the parts store, got it swapped out. Started it up afterwards, seemed to run fine. Proceeded to drive to a gas stating to fill up and check just incase(gas station was about a mile away from my work.) Went to open the hood and noticed it was doing it again

So now I'm pissed and confused...pulled it off to the side, and tore it down. Now heres where I get confused. Right before taking the tstat housing off I noticed that it was filled with coolant, and decided to try and lift an edge of the tsta to help drain the coolant into the intake so I didn't make a mess everywhere. After doing so, I noticed that it didn't drain it all and that there was still coolant in there. so I said screw it, took off the housing and pulled the tsta to find the coolant was just sitting in the tstat opening of the intake.
Now the questions...
1.) Is the coolant sitting in the tstat opening normal behavior with the truck off? or is there something blocking the coolant and preventing it from enter any further
2.) Does this sound like a tstat problem? It would explain why the fluid was being fordced out between the tstat housing and intake through the gasket.
I took the day off to try and fix it since its my only vehicle at the moment
