Black and Blue '71 build

That sounds like a plan!
Ill let you know when they come in.

Est. delivery is on the 2nd so if thats accurate Ill be doing it on the 3rd haha

I did mine with a hijack 1 at a time. Just loosen them all a bit then work your way around putting in the new ones. When they are all in torque them down

I used a scissor jack and a coupe 4x4s to hold it up while I moved the jack and replaced all one side at a time. The core support I used a pry bar and a 2x4 as there was no good place to put the jack and the front didn't lift good enough with the rest of the body.

Ahhh they pushed my delivery back!!!!

I wish i could go but i already made plans since i wasn't gonna go.
Plus i really need to get the bushings done so i can go wheeling again.

Go watch people wheel vs wheeling...wheeling wins :haha:

But thanks for the offer mike :waytogo:

Tell me about it.
All my friends are going and ill be at home messing with rotten bushings :haha:
Its a dream come true lol

Well this last weekend was fun.
Did a transmission swap on saturday for the DD and did the bushings on sunday.

Bushings went fairly smooth apart from a good amount of rusted bolts.
Replaced 90% of em and got it all sitting nice.
I must say it feels like a whole new truck with the new bushings and the new xj shaft!

But alas it does come with bad news. Over the past few months ive developed a wicked bad shake when i go to brake. Granted it only did it at times but went to go home yesterday and it did it every time i stopped. So i limped it from one of my work's shops to our new shop and found that my rf may have a siezed caliper. It would spin but you could feel resistance in it and you can hear it dragging too. The left front was smooth as could be so i got a caliper kit and hopefully i can get it cleaned up and back together on my lunch.

Oh the joys of these trucks :haha:
