Black Betty - Formerly Blaze the Monster Machine

1984 K5 Project for Dad and kids
Not as much as I had hoped would that’s for sure haha. Goal this week is to get the engine bay cleaned out and the interior gutted so I can pressure wash the thing. We’ve got a ridiculous tee ball bracket this weekend (fri-sun) and I’m picking up my Durango from one shop (rear main seal) and taking it to another shop (headers//cam//tune). Also picking up the rebuilt 4L80e and NP208 this week. Need to get the body lift removed and the new body mounts (saved from the last one) bolted in so I can fit it into the shop. Seats need to be thrown out and the seats from my old one bolted in so I can free up floor space in the shop. Then the front clip needs to come off and I need to drop in the new engine//trans//transfer case and get driveshafts measured and modified. Need to buy an efi fuel tank and get that replaced. Truck needs a new wiring harness that needs to be put into place and then the Holley EFI system installed. At that point it’s just start it and tune it and drive it right?

So is this truck Black Beatty like Warren Beatty? Or Black Betty like the song?

That's the best one, and my Grandmothers name was Betty and that looks just like her farm house in that video if its the same one I seen before.

I think its a lot easier to move a vehicle over with the floor jack. Slide the jack in sideways just in front of the rear tires and jack on the pumpkin just enough to get the tires off the ground and then you can move it over.
