An electric choke Q-jet! Don't throw that in scrap. Good core for someone.

I have never seen anything like that engine bay, with it buried under crap!

You sure? Looks an awful lot like my last edelbrock.

Engine (350), transmission (700r4), and t-case (np208) are all getting sold once I yank them.

Well I had to take a 2nd look on a bigger screen..
Oops. I was wrong.
And I don't smoke, but @Bent77 just can't let me forget how close I live to hippieville.

Ha! But Edelbrock makes Holley carbs now, so maybe they will make Quadrajets too...(yes I said that, look up the Edelbrock VRS 4150, you'll see what I mean)

It's like a Holley carb with a choke tower cut off and air bleeds added, yet it's new, never thought I would see the day.

In their defense it does have like 20 different jets in it for tuning.

I've tuned carburetors and dumped fuel so many years I am over it, EFI everything.

You had me there for a second, I thought you were saying Edelbrock manufacturers Holley's carbs now, but they make a style of Holley carbs LOL. Edelbrock used to make brand new quadrajets not too long ago, if I'm remembering right.

You know I thought I remembered them making a quadrajet too, but I couldn't find it on their website so I thought I was wrong. I guess they have covered carters, quadrajets, and now Holley style carbs...

Edelbrock is easier for me than Holley but there’s a reason I’m not going back with a carb.

My wife made start watching that show. I have had buddies tell me to watch it for years.

I has it's moments for sure.

Got a chance to look up towards the engine from underneath and there’s still a big wad of crap there. I’m going to dig that out before I yank the body lift so I can get to the transmission bolts. I don’t want any of this crap in my shop.

887E1E2F-4B49-4ACC-AB74-A848DADBEA36.jpegHad a bolt on the rear shackle that we could not get seated while at Jeff’s place. The frame side was always just a hair to low and we couldn’t get it in. Had to get creative to get some twist on the spring and got it in. Also retorqued my u bolts for the first time in 2yrs (relax they only had 100-150 miles on them). They were a good 2-3 turns loose. Tomorrow I’m going to try and tackle removing the body lift.

Body lift is coming off real easily. Last time I did this it took me two hours to do all 10. Today I spent two hours and got 6 and even those are only half done because the majority of the bolt holes don’t line up.
