Black Betty, Rock Crawlin Trail Truck Build !!!FOR SALE!!

I had kert build the Abomb raised up for my 3" body lift. However where the winch mounts are my M12000 wont fit without cutting out the lower grill support and part of the grill. I'm going to have to cut the winch line hole lower and the holes lower by about 2+ inches for the winch to fit. In hindsite I shouldn't have had him raise the AbomB up, but I do like the looks of it and it will look nicer when I make a full bumper out of it. As for the lower bolts I'm going to have to drill the holes in the frame out a little bit to make them go in, I just got lazy and havn't put them in yet. Been doing other stuff trying to get it ready for roll cage work.

Anyone know where I can get some monster shackles for the holes in that thing? I only ever see the 3/4" ones. what size is supposed to fit in those holes?

I believe they use a 1" shackle. I had one from a receiverhitch/shackle, but Im going to have to pick up some more for front and rear. There's a local place by me that sells heavy equipment stuff; straps, shackles, bolts, etc.

Well its been a while without an update but i've had to save up a few bucks for my new toy... Its gonna take a while to complete cause i'm going to have to up my fab skills. We all know what its for...

Only thing you need now is a tubing notcher, it will make it go twice as fast:D.

7/8" shackle as they use a 1" pin.

sweet... it's next on my list.... tho I really want my bumpers to be a combo of 2" and 1.75, so I may pick up an extra die....

have fun! :D

Thanks ryah, ill check it out. As for the bender, if you can afford hydo do it cause it aint a walk in the park doing the bending. My head hurts too from figurin bends yesterday so if you got the money for bendtech, do that too., :D those things were outa my budget.

yeah I have a friend who bought that for his 105hd and im waitin to see how its working for him before I buy it. The bender isn't too bad to pull but it does take a while. The ram would fix the hard to pull problem but I'm curious as to how fast it works. The other good thing about hydro is you can get your bends accurately a little easier cause you arn't yanking and going back to check your angle 100 times. The degree ring is useless to me and I like using two rulers bolted together at one end to check the angle of the tube. The time it takes to bend tube is nothing compaired to figuring your bends and notching (at least for me) so I dont mind taking it slow with the actual bending. Its like painting... Hrs and hrs of body work and 10 min to spray paint.

tractor supply(if you have one in your area) has all kinds of shackles and other good stuff as well...love the seats...got from the website???
