Has any one here purchased the rear tube (bolt on) bumper from blazen off road? I recently did only to find this bumper is any thing but bolt on. Here are the numerious problems i ran into: The mounting brackets do not match the frame rails, the tail gate cannot be opened (due to the side protection), the skid optional plate that is supposed to protect the gas tank hits it, the supports for the side protection hit the rocker pannels. Thats quite a list for a bolt on application. Here are a few snap shots too.

I'm sure you brought this to 81jimmyslt's attention before posting here, did he offer to help with the problem?

Yea, dosent answer the phone, has yet to respond to me e mail, and voicemail.

Also, do you have a body lift or have the body mounts ever been replaced? That might explain some of the problems if the body had shifted slightly on the frame.

How long have you given him to respond? That is a bad situation though.:( Odd, I didn't have any problems with the front bumper. Keep us informed on the fix though as I still need to get a rear carrier.

Negative, no body lift, no mounts have ever been replaced, never been in an accident.

I've never ordered any bumpers from him but it sounds like his measurements are off. Don't forget that he is making custom bumpers and he's going off measurements from someone elses K5 opposed to building it directly on yours. I understand you're upset and I hope the issue gets resolved.

I left me first voicemail about two maybe three days ago, but it's been about a day since I sent the e mail and other voicemails. Granted I'm probably being impatient, but I still wonder if any one else has run into problems like the.

Well, that sucks (obviously).

He's been around here for a while so I'm sure when he gets your message he'll respond quickly with a resolution. :wink1:

Correct, but when you make a product that says "Chevy rear tube bumpers bolt on to 73-91' trucks, Blazers, and Suburbans" you come to think there'll be no trimming, drilling, welding, etc.

The only reason why I replied to your post is because I have dealt with usa6x6. I know you can't always get in touch with the guy who just took your money but in the end you'll have what you paid for. It just might take a while. ;)

Exactly. You bought that bumper thinking it was bolt on. Otherwise if you wanted to modify something you would have done it yourself. He need's to fix it tho that is for sure.

Have you tried sending him a pm on here? I have sent several messages to him on here and he has responded very quickly to them. From the conversations i've had with Jesse he seems like a stand up guy, and i'm sure he will go out of his way to resolve your issues.

I had not thought of it till this morning, so yeah i have done that as well. Lemme just say I'm not perticurly angry at this point i'm more or less just trying to see if any one else on here has run into these problems.:o

Give it a little more time. He could be out testing and improving this week. I'm not trying to make excuses either but it could be as simple as a wrong label and you got one for somebody else who has a 1-2" body lift.

In the meantime, you might try and remove some of these negative waves. Jesse will make it right.:wink1:
