We need to gather up some info from the community. We have done this in the past for the fronts but the rear dimensions seem to vary. Currently we are really looking to double check 69-72' but all info would be great.

What we are looking for:
1) Year, Make, Model
2) Outside dimension frame rail width. Measure from outside to outside of frame rails.
3) How many mounting holes end of frame? Slotted or not? End of frame boxed or open?
4) Distance from spring hanger bracket to end of frame rail?
5) Any pictures with year make and model would be greatly appreciated to!

Hey Jesse, I can get you outside measurements on two 89's The one on my K5 has been chopped so no idea on the holes and stuff. Both have bumpers on them so I'll see what i can find today.

Whatever you guys can find and post up would be greatly appreciated by us and everyone that can use this info. I will post up soon with the measurements and dimension we have from the several trucks we have in the yard. We have been busy helping a bunch of guys get out of the rubicon this weekend.

1) 89 V3500
2) 34"
3) Can't tell with the bumper and hitch bolted up. Slots and holes. Open.
4) 8"

1) 89 K5
2) 34"
3) Unknown. I cut the horns off to make it flat. Slots and holes. Open.
4) 12" plus maybe 1.5" that was cut off to make it flat.


I noticed the end of my crew cab frame is vertical at the end and the k5 had the horns on the end originally.

I'll see if I can get pics of the holes and slots tomorrow in the light.

69-72 has same frame width as 73-91. 34"!! but the 73-91's are a taller frame!! frame is not boxed on the ends either!!. two holes on side of rails that are not slotted!! and the rails only stick out around 6 inches behind the rear shackle hangers!! not like the 73-91's that stick out past the body, and make me angry at them and have to cut them back to get a custom bumper to fit right and not stick out like it has a friggin hard on!!

3) How many mounting holes end of frame? Slotted or not? End of frame boxed or open? 2; slotted; open (stock)
4) Distance from spring hanger bracket to end of frame rail? 15" with DIY4X flip brackets.
5) Any pictures with year make and model would be greatly appreciated to!
