Blazer bash 2008 MOAB!!

Where, exactly, do I need to be in Moab, to be close to the trails and everyone. Where is slickrock? I am trying to find out so I can make my lodging plans. If motel6 is $110, there is a B&B for $120 that I would rather stay at, unless it is far from my friends. How much is the campground and can you get a spot with electric? Links would be great.

Moab is only about five miles long or so the campground everybody was at last year had hookups, the official campground. Most if not all the trails are just outside of town or within a few miles. The town might have 10,000 people in it off season it has one main street and everything is on it.

At slickrock campground, how is parking arranged? Ill have my rig and a 24ft gooseneck behind me. And im sure every other person there will have a similar combonation...

Im wonderin how far the truck will be from the site.

I think that's why so many stay there. IIRC, most of the spots are pull-through. Or at least a lot of them are. So you don't have to park the stuff anywhere else.

At slick rock they have a field outside the campground that you park your trailers in.

Several of the regulars have started staying at the Moab Rim camp ground on the south side of town becasue it is a lot nicer and the showers don't scar them as much.

Last year was the last year of me staying in the Motel 6. This year I think I will either campout or if my wife and son come I will stay in the Moab Valley Inn. It is much nicer and closer to the mid town area that is the Hub of the trails.

I drove the buggy last year all over town and even 10 miles north for Jason Paynes memorial service. I didn't get busted but Nate and Toby did multiple times with way more street looking vehicles. I plan to trailer as much as possible this year.

What are the laws there that we should watch for on our rigs? Im wonderin if mine will be questionable or not while im cruisin around main street.

Most of what I heard was the amount of lift (>4") and tires sticking too far out of the fenders (>2").

how scary are the showers at slickrock?? :eek1: Have any links for the Moab Valley inn or Moab Rim campground? thanks...

If you want to feel real comfy, stay at Sorrell. You can get a massage while you are there. I don't think they do H.E.s though. lol

280-450 a night:eek1::eek1::eek1:

There is a B&B that is 130 a night. It looks real nice. There was only 1 room availiable when I checked on Saturday.

I have reserved a cabin at Slickrock

I got a cabin today and my buddy also got one, I think they only have 14, so if anyone else is wanting a cabin, you better hurry up and reserve one.
