Blazer build with pics

It's been a while. But heres the latest progress. The body has been put back on.

The engine has been hooked up and it runs, the breaks work ( including the rear disks) , and there are no leaks so far. All that's left really is to hook the cooling up, but everything is on hold until the rocker panels are replaced. Which is turning out to be a major job.

While we wait on the metal for those we are fixing the bed.

Hello Again! I lost my camera upload cord but I have one now. Progress is still going good. The floors took a long time and they look like a patchwork quilt, but I herculined the whole thing and it looks really nice. Everything is sturdier and there aren't any holes in the floor anymore. Also the rollcage from S&W came, it was hard to weld in and fit because we had to hand grind the notches but eventually we succeeded! Also we got some awesome new belts from simpson, they are 5 points with the submarine belt being optional. The chairs are welded and ready to be put in. So its coming along, hopefully my uncle can come up soon and help this thing could be test driveable!

I like those belts, look'n good, keep up the good work.

First, looks great!

What liner did you use on the interior? You had mentioned Herculiner and Al's, so just wondering.

Looks great.

Thanks, its simply herculiner from the local auto zone. Stuff has impressed me already seems really sturdy and has deadened the sound a bit. I'm torn on the paint, I'm thinking just black not satin but not to glossy. Or a dark forrest green. Thanks for the complements.

Nice job, you've gotten a lot more done since this thread started than most of us get done in years.

haha thanks ajmblazer. if I could go back I would of just fixed the trans thrown some 33s on it and had some fun with it, instead the domino effect happend and its been about 7 months. its been a great experience and alot of fun, also grueling at times. about 10-14 hours a weekend for each of us. im lucky to have a great dad who enjoys doing this stuff!

Anyways, took about a month off. It's freezing cold and miserable in the garage. My dad has been doing the majority of the electrical work and we are slowly chipping away at it. All the gauges work except the oil pressure, we've been toying with it alot and cant get it. Got a tach installed and fixed the fuel gauge. Also installed windstar fans that self activate at a certain temperature. Got a slick new battery holder because the old one was gone. Dash is mia, going to get one off LMC. I've been doing the bodywork while my dad works on electrical and we've both agreed on od green for the paint. I'm doing a basic prep job on the truck rite now then I'm going to bondo prime and rattle can some green on. I love the look of it and I can't wait to see it. Hopefully tomorrow we can throw the tires on and take it for a test drive down the driveway.

lookin real good.i dont know if you got the rims you needed, but i got my keystones wagon wheels from stroudsburgs a&a auto on 611.they were 50 bucks.

Thanks everyone, I never ended up buying wagons since I got a set of 38's with some wheels already on them. My next set of wheel may be wagons or some h1 double beadlocks but thanks. The truck is just about ready to be primed sanded with 300 grit and painted. The bondo took a long time to dry so it looks like it isn't happening this weekend. I can't wait to see that OD green on this thing I'll be sure to update with pics Saturday. We should wheel sometime chulis once this things done. Heres a start up vid with open headers in the garage.
