Got a big update for everyone, since finishing the blazer the 350 wasnt pulling its weight, and 8mpgs wasnt daily driveable so I sold the motor to a buddy and plan on putting something else in it, not decided yet. So in need of a new daily driver last year I began parting out dodge diesel pickups and so far Ive made enough to buy a 2000 f250 7.3 single cab 2wd stick for 2800. I threw a chip and homebrew air filter and exhaust on the cheap on it and its a great dd for me. With the truck Ive been selling diesel parts for a while now. Ive saved up some more money and Im currently building a 96 ex cab cummins I picked up for 1500 that was rolled. Only 140k on it and most importantly 4x4. So currently swapping the bed and cab and keeping an eye out for a donor rig. Im going to document this build here just cause this is my favorite forum and I enjoy looking back on my work.
Also wanted to say building my k5 was a major turning point in my life, made me want to work on trucks, Im currently enrolled at the Pennsylvania college of technology for diesel technology and business and hope to open a shop someday. So thanks to everyone here, if it wasnt for ck5 I probably wouldnt of ever gotten so involved in this build and would of never realized how much I love this stuff.
Plans for dodge are, manual swap and home made compound set up with hx35, s400 should be fine for towing and hopefully 900-1000 ft lbs.
Anyways, heres some pictures of my current project.
