Blazer Height Measurement? 2 Post Lift Experience Anyone?

Thats what i was saying. I have had a few tall vehicles on lifts in my years and as said i never wished for a shorter shop roof in that section or a shorter lift overall height .

Bendpak has a 14' tall lift. My ceiling is 14' 1". Cutting it close... BUT with the direction of the roof trusses I can have the lift intrude into that space. I can build out the ceiling around the lift.

Look at the "max rise height" too, keep in mind a taller lift doesn't always mean it can lift higher.

A Rotary SPOA10 has a max rise height of 81.5 or 84.5 inches.

It does not appear that most larger models give any more rise. They do give more ceiling clearance for taller cab vehicles like vans, etc.

I do not know if that is with the arm extensions on or not...

EDIT: I found it....

* Rise measures the highest position of the adjustable adapters with use of supplied adapter extensions from floor to full cylinder stroke.

The extensions are ~3" and ~5" if they use both, plus the arm height you would need about a foot under the frame at ride height to lift it that high off the ground, plus the ceiling clearance. Which if you add the 58" K5 cab height plus the 81" rise minus the height of the top bar assembly, I would guess 4 - 6" with the spring loaded switch, the 14' height looks appealing to me.

They also list a min ceiling height, and offer 1 and 2 ft extensions for the top bar.

Think I am going to jump on this lift - BENDPAK 10AP-168. Pricey but not as pricey as Rotary. If I started my own business I'd go Rotary but with 10 or 15 lifts a month this is probably overkill. I like the added height just in case it is needed.

144" (12') total height
68" Max Lift to Bottom of Arms
72" Height to Bottom of Pads - 4-6" Can be added with Pad Risers

72" + 58" frame/cab height = 130" (10' 8")
MORE than enough height

My buddy has a bendpack and its ok . . But he is in a bigger shop and they will NOT sell him the height adapter kit . Say it needs to be ordered at time of purchase only . So the 3 new lifts he got say rotory on them. And if like rotory but little more budget check forward for there budget line . . Also see whats on used market . I want a Mohawk lift . Those are premim and no cross plate or bar . Just 2 lines thats it .

If you are buying bendpack for your application I like this 10APX one better, 13 ft tall but has a 7" higher rise height.

Agreed, I keep going over my notes and went back to that exact model. I think it might work for my purposes too. I like the extra 7 in. I called the company rep today and he said the extra 7 in. is often a major selling point. It's also $100 cheaper

Talk about crapping your pants when that happens and you are underneath the truck. Seem very fortunate to be alive to be called a moron instead of 6’ under
Ha! Look at the puddle under the truck.
