Blazer is really done. Last pictures while she is still mine.

Damn dude, that looks nice! Your blazer is pretty freakin stout. I wish I had your skills/tools Kert. Well done man!

So, help me fill my tool box. What would you pack?

I have spare front axle shafts and lock outs that I want to pack along, as well as a spare MSD6A ignition box. Lots of misc. stuff. I have always had a mix match of stuff along but never a dedicated set that stay in the rig.

What tools do you carry everytime? Indespensable ones.

Moab trip a couple years back, I had everything but the kitchen sink and needed all of it.

Heck i brought my welder to silver lake last year and it got used lol.
Umm.. Sawzall, drill, drill bits, impact, jumper cables, spare set of bearings, u joijts, spare belts, radiator hose, ss hose clamps, easy outs, sockets, wrenches, razor knife, couple of flashlights and batteries, tire gauge,

Soon to come in mine: scuba tank with regulator and hose....

Um im sure i could find more in my blazer of preparedness lol.:D

I try not to be "that guy" by not having the basics but I try to concentrate my tools on stuff I think others will not have. 99% of the people with you will have and lend you hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, etc so I try to have axle nut sockets, snap ring pliers, a pry bar, ratchet strap(s), maybe a multimeter, allen wrenches, torx wrenches, picks, assorted wiring connecters, etc..

Thats a good one:waytogo:

Yoga mat is a must have :haha:

Put a brass hammer in there cause you can use it like a normal hammer, and you can use it alot of ways you can't use a normal one.

Remember carry too many spare parts and your already heavy rig becomes well cwazy heavy.

I say start packing everything you need then start paring it down.

I guess I need to go through the "magic box" that I had so much stuff in over the years and take some stock of what hasn't been canibalized or stolen for something else.

One issue i've always had is having an organized way to store/carry some tools. A roll or wrenches for instance works well but a "roll" of sockets i've yet to come up with. Some things pack well and some just don't seem to no matter what you do.

also gona try and capitalize on the spare parts for the crew cab being spare parts for the blazer or vise versa, which ever need may be the case.

Kert what kinda break do you guys have down at the shop?
