Blazer is really done. Last pictures while she is still mine.

so are you going to be making a shave kit for the bottom of the 14bolts then in the future?

Sweet Kert, so looks like you got into that rib more then huh?

I like the lower bolt tubes, and is the backbone going through the spring plates then?

Are the dogbones for the traction bar?

Nice touch on the ring....did it hurt the metal at all :D?

Tracy done a nice job on the topper too!

Last night I got the wrap off the axle and started cleaning it up. Spent an hour or so cleaning things up and rounding edges, then did some peening all around the area.

Hopefully this evening I can start in on a diff cover that matches the profile of the shave. Really looking forward to getting the cover done so I can start in on a Backbone/wraptor. Gona be a fairly custom piece since the suspension is a bit different on "Veronica."

Pics of the shave coming tonight.

Yep, got into it alot further than it looked like when we first started.

Yep, gona run through the notches. not attached though.

Nope, those are for the leaf spring shackles.

Nah, didn't hurt the metal. Didn't stick to it anyway. Handle is kinda uncomfortable now though. Got a drawer full of handles and other burnt out grinder parts so I'm sure I can find a replacement for it.

Yep, I'm pretty happy with the top, always have been. Decided to see what a big "DIY4X" logo would look like on there so I sent it off to a local printer to see what they could do with it.

that'll look good I think....and the diff cover...what is it now a 12 bolt?

Tracy knocked one off my list this morning already.

Sunshade or Bikini top or whatever you want to call it, had split the seems on the lower corners so she reinforced it with some webbing.

Now its a 5 min. Install. Held on the front edge with 4 of the original bolts that held the top on and an aluminum strip. Bottom corners tie in place with the para cord.

Thats what Im' doing for my top 4 bolts and a strip of Aluminum for the front and rope in the rear.

Zim, the cover is a 13 bolt now.

Post up a picture of where your top is going. Do you have the hard top like I do still?

Nice work Kert as always brother. Glad to see the K5 rig is still getting some attention.

Been making a good push on it lately. To do list is pretty short but the rear axle is a slow going game. Aside from that, I got a front pinion that still needs attention, hook up some batteries and fire it up again. Gona go back to the drawing board for the FI tune. Then its just a couple small house keeping items. Some LED's that don't light up and some burnt bulbs in the rock lights.

When that's done, I'm gona bring a build back from the dead that hasn't been seen on here in many moons. 49's and a 6BT.
