Blazer is really done. Last pictures while she is still mine.

I've always wanted to build something with a dry sump... I have worked on some boats with em..

btw, just to save a pm, got my flip today, thanks, looks great as usual..

Good to hear the flip made it in good time. I've been following your build pretty closely. You're making me wish I had done a flat bed.:doah:

How rough can the idle be? I have a pcv on my 256/260 @ .050 duration cam in my 427 that i turn 7500. It will honestly still work fine even with my 1050 dominator. I drove it 1500 miles on drag week and everything was nice and clean.

The tuning session on the dyno cleaned it up pretty considerably. I guess not so much that its rough but just doesn't produce much vaccum when its just idling and then the ECU gets a little pissy. There is a different mode of tuning, Alpha-N or something like that but a whole new can of worms there. If I didn't mind the idle being a little higher it would totally be a non issue. About 1100 rpm its producing a much stronger vaccum.

I still don't think it takes the much my 106 lsa made for about 10. It isn't making much blowby at idle.

You shouldn't need alphaN at that level Kert. Alpha N just uses throttle position and RPM instead of manifold pressure and RPM. So alpha N doesn't take the load into consideration. It will work great if you are doing the same race everytime but with all the different driving conditions of wheelin I would stick with speed density.

That's good to know. I didn't really know what the difference in the two tuning methods was. The guy at FAST were telling me AlphaN wouldn't work very well for my application as well.

I managed to fix the crank case evac. system last night.

I had a breather on the valve cover which was causing the issue. The exhaust provides enough vaccum for the engine that if you have a breather it allows fresh air to be pulled into the crankcase and out through the exhaust which inevitably picks up some oil and takes it into the exhaust.

I talked to Moroso tech and they suggested, removing the breather would solve the issue.

2 items left. A shift boot bezel and a clutch for the york.

Testing the CCEvac yestereday and the clutch is getting pretty ragged. Kinda made you a little worried about standing to close to it.

no more smoky?

is that clutch screaming like metal on metal or what?

Yeah its rattling pretty bad and you can see the vibration. Clutch sits still for a little while then engages and turns a couple turns and then stops again.... Pretty ugly.

No more smoky!!

:waytogo:

so you'll need mosquito repellent again?

Am I gonna see this baby in july kert? Since I missed out on the trip :dunno::whistle:

What makes me sad, is mine, around here is considered a LEGIT bada$$ rig, and compared to yours, mine is basically a Prius, which does not deserve a capital P, compared to yours. So you need to keep you and your awesome rig out of my area, or you will be making me look bad. And since I cant run yours over, or do a bigger burnout, I would have to out drink you, and steal your stuff. But rumor has it that is a terrible felony and leads to no fun time in an area where its only men and the sex you have is not wanted. So stay away, far away. :haha:

Today I was supposed to be on my way to a wheeling event.

Weather has not cooperated. Heavy predictions of rain and thunderstorms all weekend for the area.

I have found myself in an odd situation. I think the blazer is done. I mean, its really done. If I had a big enough parking space, i'd back the crew cab, gooseneck and blazer in and leave 'em ready for the next wheeling trip.

I think this might be a site-wide first. DONE? Never heard of it...
