Pics of the tires I am going with after I melt the ones off that are on it
No I am going to be a bit nice with these, well sort of.
So did some more work on it today. Need to get out earlier in the morning and get some bug spray, skeeters are rather bad still.
Got the drivers seat mounted, first time the car has had a bolted in seat in like 15 years.
Decided to go with the fuel cell, started mounting it going to build a frame for it to sit on so it is off the trunk floor a bit. Like the idea of having steel around the bottom of the tank. Saw some pics. on the web of the tank mounted in the trunk liked how it looked. So went with it. I can also mount the pump in the trunk and not have to worry about it out in the weather.
Got to finish the tank mount. Then order some stuff from Summit, fuel line, and a fuel cap.
Then try and get it running.
Priced a new windshield have to pull out the old one then clean the window mount area out and do some welding of the holes that are in it.

Plan is to have it come out and run into a pump mounted in the back area towards the battery or something. Probably just going to run a hose into the stock line for now to get it started.
I have a block mounted race pump and a electric pump so have a bit to choose from. If I run the block pump the line will just go down through the floor right away maybe build a cover for it or something.
Not like my trunk will be used for anything.

I may get real fancy and get some of those Walboro pickup things for inside the tank
Those are nice, just spendy.
I used to like running the line down the outside of the frame to keep it away from the exhaust, roll it back onto the top of the frame just behind the wheel well. Then straight up the ww to the regulator. Leastwise that was how i did.
A fun way if you're bored is to sink the tank 2" so the out let is just below the trunk deck, makes a clean run on the line to the pump

Thought about doing it through the floor but decided against cutting the floor. Going to run the fuel line the same way that you said just be coming from inside the trunk.
Kind of leaving it up in the air a bit in case I decide to mini tub it, but kind of plan building it with that possibility

I also have to figure out how to run it around the front frame want to keep it NHRA legal so it has to be out side the frame around the bell housing area.
Cell is in and it works.
And.......................it runs needs some tuning of sorts has a miss or three and a sputter or so

The fuel line is temporary, the hole in the floor has been there for 20 years or so ,thought I would use it to run the fuel line.
Fuel cell fits rather nicely kind of like it.
