Blazer's 68 Nova "Stephanie"

Did some work on her today.
Put it up on jack stands. Took out the windshield. Took out the sealer for the windshield. Found two rust holes. Seal area looks rather good other then that.

Have Monday off, kids are with their mom so I think I will pull the hood and front clip off. Fenders have some rust that need to be fixed. Radiator support has some hacking that needs to be fixed. It originally had a external regulated alternator so have some wiring that needs to be redone.

Been looking for a Torque Converter, need one about 2800 - 3200 stall to fit a TH350 any ideas ?

Don't use TCI! Their streetfighter (2600 stall?) convertor was the one that desintigrated in the Iron Maiden, and filled the filter w plastic sprag debris. When Greg Ducato cut it open, he said it looked like a Ford sprag.
Coan builds there own stuff, and is widely used in the drag race/monster truck series.
And they have cute office staff!
Phoenix transmissions (Greg Ducato) has helped me pick the convertors for the Maiden and my Cummins project. Greg knows his stuff!

So just sent @Greg Ducato a message to see what he thinks.

I have a TCI for the Powerglide, Street Fighter 3500 stall that was in this thing 28 years ago, never had any issues with it.

Got bored this morning. Took about an hour, maybe.
It is so nice having a garage to do this in. No wind, no flying cotton, got to sweep up when I got done, tools are close, good lighting, I am happy.

Going to pull the radiator support next, and maybe the bumper.

To add to the list already made

Hughes
PTC
Coan
ATI

....

FTI, and Neal Chance also make great converters.

Ducato is on here and rebuilds transmissions and converters.

Hipster is also local around here in WI and makes good stuff (called ATD) for both transmissions and converters from race to stock.

I used Greg Ducato for the converter in my crew cab when I put the 4l80e in. No complaints.

If it's just surface rust is use elbow grease and a scotchbrite pad. Then either grille paint or this... Not sure if 1000* is enough for headers though :dunno:
