Blazer's 68 Nova "Stephanie"

So got a email from Summit. Control arms order has been pushed back until mid March. So cancelled it, not going to wait that long.
So I guess it's back to rebuilding my stocks set because I already have new bushings and new ball joints.
My other option would be buying other ones that are around a $1000. So for now I am just going to rebuild my stock set and it doesn't work go from there.
 
Bummer on the control arms. I’d have a hard time waiting, too.

So did some looking around more, after spending about 30 minutes getting one revited in ball joints out. As well as reading the directions on what you have to do to press the rubber bushings out.

Found some other control arms $50 more then Summit had them. They are in stock will be here Monday or Tuesday.

Time to do some more frame painting.

Do you think when people do a full restoration they leave things like this alone ?

From where I am standing it looks more like someone had cracks and fixed it. Some of the welds shapes and locations are not at edges.
Unless I am not seeing it clear enough
 
Factory welding in those days were truly that shitty. Hate to say it but you don't have anything special. Just a regular car built in the 60s
 
Looking good Keith, but tin covers suck compared to what else is out there.
 
I would get some cast aluminum valve covers with finned tops if you're after an old school look. Then you get the benefit of cast aluminum.
