If you get it driving you'll fall in love with it and want to keep working on it. If it becomes too much work before you even get to drive it, you may end up pushing it in the corner and ignoring it. At least that's my theory.

Inline tube makes nice stuff. Some people have had problems with them. I bought "the right stuff" lines for my chevelle, and wasn't overly impressed. I had to remake a few lines. If I was going to do it again I would just make them from scratch. Bulk stainless brake tube is pretty cheap from Jegs or summit. You can get a tube straightener for 125 bucks and a 3/16 ridgid or swagelok bender off ebay/Amazon for 150 bucks.
As long as the factory ones are in good shape, use em.

Brake fluid absorbs water. Lines can rust from the inside out. 53 year old brake lines probably should be replaced. They are a pretty cheap item to replace given the safety factor of them.
Start fresh, front to back. Factory tyle flex lines. Make your own hard lines.
I redid the front flex ones a number of years ago but they have done nothing but sit there so they are still good I would think. The hard lines are the need to be replaced ones.
Endorse. With the right tools, it’s one big weekend of work to run oil, fuel, and brake lines. If it’s accessible now, it might be worth the time.

Ordered a bunch of parts today, getting tired of spending money at this point. However going to have all new brake lines and a new proportioning valve and a line lock.
Cleaned up the steering box and the center link and tie rods. Got the master cylinder done too. Getting closer to doing some final assembly

Have been doing some work on her. For some reason Gmail isn't working on my phone right so cant transfer pictures... All A arms are in, passenger side spindle is cleaned up and installed passenger side spring is in also. Going to get drivers side spring in and then get the spindle/ whole assembly painted cleaned up and put in.
After that it is brake line time. Since all the needed tools are here.
