Blazer's 85 Suburban "Twinkie"

Yea I think I will keep it silver.

Next plan is to figure out how to make a stinger of sorts to somewhat keep the grill area protected.

Sense there is nothing but air keeping rocks bushes etc. out of the radiator.

Rear shocks are on the list also. Just have a few plans to figure before I do them.

So went and got some fuel. Spent about an hour added, fuel, spark, etc, etc.

Seems to run rather well, as good as the carb ever did that is for sure.

Mega shifter was giving me a bit of grief so need to look into that a bit.

Decided that this springs project is going to be to link the rear.

Unless some how I can fall into a locker for the front, think I am going to do the links.

Need a 4 link program, got one off of Pirate think it will work but any ideas on what to find would help.

Thing that looks like it is going to suck is my nice new bump stops are going to be in the way. :doah: Plan on using a set of coil springs not sure what from yet have to figure that one out. May do heims on one side of the link and bushings on the other. Have to look into what the cost is going to be for either of the and kind of go from there.

A front locker will get you further ahead than links. Unless your getting your heim for free and coils for free I bet I can get ya a lunchbox locker for way less than your gonna spend on linking the truck

For coils I was thinking of figuring out what would work weight wise then go from there. Used parts would work, new from a parts store would too.

How much would rod ends be ? Ruff Stuff has two of them in a Kit for $69.00 they are 7/8 size.

So I would be half the price of a Spartan in heims.

I would be money ahead to link the rear, but performance ahead to lock the front.

Do need to figure out what fun thing to do this spring though. Maybe work on the Nova :dunno:

Seems pointless to me the ride might be better. Of course no axle wrap but your still gonna be able to go the exact places you went before. Just don't spend the money and save for the locker.

So found a set of tires and rims, the rims were mine before I gave them to a friend, he doesn't want them any more. Tires chaotick5 has and wants to get rid of them also.

So I have a set of tires to drive around and not kill my 40's.

Need to figure out my mini-shield idea. I still have a stock windshield it has a crack was looking into getting it shortened but not sure that that is going to work.
Going to check out some plexy glass or something.

How come we don't have clear aluminum yet?
