Blazer's 85 Suburban "Twinkie"

So pulled the CB out yesterday. As well as the front ammo box that never got used.
I bought a Rugged Radio.

Going to pull the A/C compressor/ onboard air and all the associated things that go with it. Going with a battery powered Dewalt portable air compressor. I only use it to refill the tires after the trip is over and it's gotten to be a pain in the butt. Plus it will be nice to have all that extra room in the engine compartment.

Been thinking about doing the same thing with the CB in the crew cab. Like to have a dash mounted Rugged instead of the handheld.

That's what we use to heat our shop and they work well. They've been maintenance free for the past 19 years.

So first shop issue. Getting water under my door. Figured out why. See the gap under the level. The door shuts on the rubber piece which had been working but we have been getting soaked lately.

Slopes really good at the crack away from the door, it is just a bit far away.

Not quite sure how I am going to fix it.
May just do a little sloped roof above the door.

Any overhang less than 10 feet long will not help this.
The easiest solution would be a ridge minimum 1/2" thick under the door seal so water doesn't get past it.
Even better would be a slope from that ridge down to the groove so water rolls off away from the door.
I will make a little sketch tomorrow to explain

I was thinking a over hang, the whole width of the door. About a foot wide or so.

What to make the ridge out of ?
The overhang needs to be sticking out front as much as the height to protect from the rain, otherwise it's just esthetic.
As for the ridge can be made from non shrink mortar, or some kind of metal with caulking underneath.
You basically need a threshold

The driveway slopes, so rain isn't going to travel up hill once the slope starts. I just need it to stay away from the door or at least away from the eight or so inches before the slope starts.
